Phở Phriends season is here!! 🥳🎊

During the weeks of 10/11-10/24, we’ll be hosting numerous casual events and hangouts where you can connect with new members 👯 and familiarize yourself with potential Bigs for our ACE program (Bigs/Littles). 🫂

-Monday, 10/12: pickleball hangout 🥒
-Wednesday, 10/14: Roblox game night 🎮
-Friday, 10/16: afternoon tea party 🫖 + clay making, Mystery Event 🧐 (pull up and trust the process)
-Saturday, 10/17: Evanston Farmers’ Market trip 🧺, AYCE SEND (All-You-Can-Eat) 🍽️, card games 🃏

-Wednesday, 10/21: pool night 🎱
-Thursday, 10/22: ramen 🍜 + chè Thái + movie night 🎬
-Friday, 10/23: egg rolls + chuối chiên + ice cream 🍨

⭐️Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration⭐️

Thanks for coming to our Mid-Autumn Festival 🌕🐇 celebration! 💛 We hope everyone had fun and got a chance to try some mooncakes 🥮 and buns.

Our Pho Phriends events for our ACE program (bigs/littles) 🫂 are coming soon—keep an eye out! 👀 Sign-ups for these exciting events will be posted in a few days. 😉

Come support VSA’s first fundraiser of the year! 😋 We’ll be selling coconut jelly, Dubai chewy cookies, and Thai tea at The Rock this Tuesday.

Thai tea 🧋: $4 for one 12 oz cup
Coconut jelly 🥥: $3 for one 6 oz cup
Dubai chewy cookies 🍪: $4 for one cookie

Proceeds will support Collective Freedom, UVSA-Midwest’s Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) Beneficiary for 2026-2027. More information about the nonprofit organization can be found on the 2nd slide. 💗

We’re looking for someone who is creative, organized, and can take the lead on planning complex event logistics 📋, including timelines, spaces, materials, and food. 🍲

We’ll have mooncakes 🥮 (first come, first served! 😋), Vietnamese games like bầu cua 🦀 & cards 🃏♠️, chalk art, and a raffle! ✨ All students are welcome—reunite with old friends 🫂, or gather to meet new ones. 💫

🍜 Vifon x VSA Noodle Night! 🍲

Thank you to everyone who came to our Vifon x VSA noodle night! 😋 We hope everyone had fun making their bowls of soup and adding their toppings of choice. 🥬

A big thank you to Vifon USA for sending us all of the soup packages: we are so grateful for having the opportunity to host the collab this year! ❤️

This meeting was the perfect timing—we ate some warm, delicious noodle soup right before getting ready for a challenging finals’ season. ❤️‍🔥 Have a great summer break, and we’ll see everyone next school year! ☀️

🏖️ 25-26 Cultural Show Recap! ☀️🌊

Has it been more than a month since the Vietnamese cultural show (where we all turned Vietnamese) already? 🫣 With that being said, we wanted to share the long-awaited photos from our show back in April. 🐚

This cultural show’s season was amazing—thank you to everyone who made it possible: including but not limited to our hardworking performers, committee leaders, cultural show coordinators, emcees, and……you, of course! We loved our supportive audience members! 💗

Thank you to múa lân for the guest lion dance performance: the energy was amazing! 🦁💛
