Erectile dysfunction can be more than a bedroom concern.
If you’re regularly having trouble getting or maintaining an er****on, it may be worth looking beyond the symptom itself. ED can sometimes be connected to other health concerns, including diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, low testosterone, certain medications, stress, anxiety, poor sleep, or nerve-related conditions.
That’s why an ED evaluation isn’t just about finding a quick fix. It’s about understanding what may be contributing to the problem and choosing treatment based on the cause.
If erectile dysfunction is new, persistent, or affecting your quality of life, it’s worth bringing up with a urologist.
Down There Urology provides evaluation and treatment for erectile dysfunction and men’s s*xual health concerns in Chicago.
Your er****on can tell us more than you think.

Erectile dysfunction may be about more than s*xual performance, it can sometimes be an early warning sign of cardiovascular disease.
Because the blood vessels in the p***s are smaller than those supplying the heart, changes in blood flow may appear there first. That means ED can sometimes develop before a more serious cardiovascular event occurs.
Don’t ignore the signal or assume it’s simply a normal part of aging. A proper medical evaluation can help identify the underlying cause and determine the right treatment for you.
Schedule an evaluation with Down There Urology to discuss your symptoms and protect your health, both in and outside the bedroom.

Pain during intimacy should not be ignored, and the right treatment begins with understanding what is causing it.
For select patients, shockwave therapy may be considered as part of a personalized treatment plan for concerns such as:
• Erectile dysfunction
• Pain associated with Peyronie’s disease
• Certain vulvar pain symptoms, including vulvodynia
Shockwave therapy is a noninvasive, in-office treatment that uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate circulation and support the body’s healing response. Because s*xual pain can have many possible causes, this treatment is not appropriate for everyone and results may vary.
Schedule a consultation with us to discuss your symptoms, receive a proper evaluation and learn which treatment options may be right for you.

Who gets p***s filler? Men of different ages, races, body types and natural sizes, because there is no single “type” of man who chooses enhancement.
Some want additional girth. Others want improved symmetry, a fuller appearance or more confidence. Whatever the reason, treatment is customized to your anatomy and personal goals.
Hyaluronic acid pe**le filler is a nonsurgical procedure performed under local anesthesia in our private Chicago office. While research supports a favorable safety profile when performed by a qualified medical provider, every procedure carries potential risks, making your consultation an important first step.
Swipe through for the answers to some of the most common questions, then schedule a private consultation with our board-certified urologists to find out whether pe**le filler is right for you.

Pain during s*x can have many possible causes and it can affect both women and men.
Sometimes the discomfort is related to hormones, pelvic-floor function, inflammation, infection, s*xual health conditions, or other urologic or gynecologic concerns.
Understanding where the pain happens, when it happens, and what other symptoms occur alongside it can help your provider determine what may be causing it.
For women, painful s*x — also called dyspareunia — may be associated with va**nal dryness, hormonal changes, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), vulvodynia, pelvic-floor dysfunction, or recurrent infections.
The cause is not always obvious, which is why persistent or recurring pain deserves a medical evaluation.
Men can experience painful s*x, too.
Possible causes may include Peyronie’s disease, prostatitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, pelvic-floor dysfunction, inflammation, infection, or pain associated with er****ons or ej*******on.
Talking openly with a urologist can help identify what is contributing to the discomfort and what treatment options may be appropriate.
When evaluating painful s*x, how the pain presents matters.
Is it near the opening or deeper in the pelvis? Does it happen during er****ons, pe*******on, or ej*******on? Is it new, recurring, or getting worse?
Those details can provide important clues about the underlying cause.
S*x should not routinely hurt.
Persistent or recurring pain with s*x is a medical symptom worth discussing with a healthcare provider — not something you simply have to tolerate.
At Down There Urology, we evaluate s*xual and urologic concerns for women and men in a judgment-free environment.
Schedule an appointment if pain is interfering with your s*xual health or quality of life.
We talked a little while ago about peptides that are being marketed for s*xual health—particularly for things like increasing libido and improving erectile function.
But before you buy something because of what you saw online, there are a few things you should know.
At Down There Urology, we want you to be informed and, above all else, safe. In this video, we’re talking about what to look for, what to research, and what questions to ask before considering peptide use.

Does the G-**ot actually exist? đź‘€
The answer isn’t as simple as yes or no.
Many experts now refer to it as the G-zone—an area on the front wall of the va**na that may contribute to s*xual pleasure for some women. Every body is different, and not everyone experiences sensation the same way.
If you’ve noticed changes in sensation or simply feel your intimate wellness isn’t what it used to be, know that you’re not alone, and there are treatment options available.
At Down There Urology, we offer G-**ot Amplification for appropriate candidates as part of our comprehensive intimate wellness services. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns, goals, and whether this treatment is the right fit for you.

Painful s*x can happen to both men and women and it’s not something you should have to ignore, push through, or feel embarrassed about.
For women, pain during s*x may be connected to va**nal dryness, hormonal changes, vulvodynia, pelvic floor dysfunction, irritation, or pelvic pain conditions.
For men, pain with s*x may be related to erectile concerns, pe**le curvature, Peyronie’s disease, pelvic floor tension, prostatitis, irritation, or other urologic concerns.
S*xual health is healthcare and discomfort is your body’s way of telling you something may need attention.
At Down There Urology in Chicago, we help patients have honest, informed conversations about painful s*x, pelvic pain, and intimate health concerns.
If s*x feels painful, uncomfortable, or different than it used to, it may be time to speak with an urology specialist.
