A little candle care goes a long way. 🕯️
Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch. This simple step helps create a cleaner, more even burn, reduces soot, and helps your candle burn beautifully from beginning to end.
Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference. 🤍
Quick candle-care check 🕯️are you team “trim every time” or team “I sometimes forget”? 🕯️

As another season at the Chesterfield County Farmers Market comes to a close, our hearts are incredibly full. ❤️
For the past five years, this market has been so much more than a place for us to set up a table and sell our products. It has become a community, a place where customers have become familiar faces, and familiar faces have become friends.
To every person who has stopped by our booth, purchased from us, encouraged us, shared a laugh with us, brought a friend back to meet us, or simply stopped to say hello, thank you. You are such a big part of the Be Salt & Light journey, and we truly could not have done this without you.
We are also incredibly grateful to Chesterfield County for continuing to provide a place where local small businesses and makers can come together, share what we create, and connect with our community. And to our wonderful market manager, thank you for all the work, heart, and dedication that goes into making this market what it is.
And then there are the friendships we’ve made along the way, with fellow vendors, county staff, and so many of you. Those relationships are one of the greatest gifts these past five years have given us.
So as we pack up from another season, we do it with grateful hearts. ❤️
Five years. Countless memories. So many friendships. And some of the most wonderful customers a small business could ever ask for.
Thank you for supporting us, believing in us, and becoming part of our Be Salt & Light family.
Until next season…

Ending SoapCon 2026 with incredibly grateful hearts. 🤍🧼
What a wonderful few days of learning, growing, connecting, and being surrounded by people who truly understand the heart and hard work behind this craft.
It was such an honor to meet Joanna Couch, The Soap Gal, someone whose knowledge and experience in this industry are truly inspiring. And we are so thankful for the opportunity to spend time with Cathy McGinnis Sizemore, Soaping 101, learning, talking, laughing, and soaking in the wisdom she so generously shares. And many more wonderful artisans that shared their wisdom, expertise and passion with us.
One of our favorite parts of SoapCon has been the connections, meeting fellow makers, exchanging ideas, learning from one another, and realizing how special this community really is. It was such an honor to gain new friendships with some amazing humans🥰 that share similar interests.
We’re heading home inspired, encouraged, full of new ideas, and excited to bring what we’ve learned back to Be Salt & Light Candle Co.
Thank you to everyone who poured their time, knowledge, and heart into making SoapCon such a meaningful experience.
Until next time, SoapCon. 🤍
Grateful hearts. New connections. Fresh inspiration.

🧼✨ SoapCon 2026 — Kentucky! ✨🧼
After our first full day at SoapCon 2026, we are already feeling so inspired! We’ve learned and gained so much valuable information from some incredible leaders in the industry, while also having the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share experiences with other talented makers. 🤍
There’s something so special about being in a room filled with people who understand the passion, creativity, hard work, and heart that goes into what we do.
We’re also incredibly thankful for the organizer, Cathy McGinnis Sizemore behind SoapCon and all the work, vision, and dedication it takes to bring an event like this together. Creating a space where makers can learn, connect, collaborate, and grow is such a gift to this community, and we are grateful to be a part of it. 🫶
And we’re not finished yet… we have another full day tomorrow! 🙌 We can’t wait to soak up even more knowledge, make more connections, and bring all this inspiration back home to Be Salt & Light Candle Co. 🌿✨

Chesterfield’s very own mascot, Cole, came by for a visit and of course, we had to snap a picture! 📸
It’s always a pleasure getting a photo with one of Chesterfield’s greatest! We love being part of this wonderful community and seeing familiar faces (and furry ones 😉) at the market.
Thanks for stopping by, Cole! 💚
