Magnolia Lane Quilting

Playing with colored scraps is one of my favorite and most relaxing type of quilting I do. These are improv quilted 6.5” squares of red with a turquoise accent. Some folks call these “Duckworth” quilts named after JoAnn Duckworth. I just think they are fun! I almost have all of my rainbow of scrap pieced quilts done to have a photo shoot of all of them together.

It’s been a very busy summer of quilting for my wonderful clients, I took a bit of time to finish up a couple of my projects. This sweet quilt is made with “Anne of Green Gables” fabric for a cozy home library with that theme. Longarm quilted with a pattern named “winsome” and bound with a self Flanged binding that I just loved!

Not everything I make is a quilt, but usually includes some quilting. I am loving the “bow” motif popular in decorating right now!

What a beauty! My Client Karen is going to have a wonderful quilt to use every day! Quilted with “Chartreuse” quilting pattern.

Such a fun Christmas quilt by my client April, she is ready early this year! Quilted with pattern “Sparkling Dreams”.

Quilting related- I made this quilted jacket on a sweatshirt for my good friend. The fabric just shouted her name. Sewn in a style that looks like stained glass with the black between the beautiful batik fabrics. I quilted around the interior of each piece to help the black to have dimension. One pocket by request . I am so happy she likes it!! Fun to see her wear it!
