As the US gets ready for the 4th of July and the many freedom fests across the nation. I am reminded of the struggle to know true independence in this so called land of the free.
With endless questions yet to be addressed and ludicrous injustices at every intersection of the system. How long can we live like this. The plant is dying and so are her creature and yet this is not recognized.
We have only on earth. The political is person and the personal is political. The problems are global in this way there is no true independence. For if it effects you it effects me. when there is suffering it effects us all. Aat some point we have to learn for ourselves that We can never control another. We can only control our own minds. We can only open our own eyes. We can only feel with our own hearts. But I believe it is still possible.
We can release the hold of the constructs programmed deep within our patterns of behavior. We can forget the story we have been feed and breathe into reality the one yet to be told.
How you ask?
We can open ourselves to sit and breathe with the sun.
Perhaps that is the ultimate freedom.
