Today, we’re sharing a little more about one of the six local families Clothing Swap Georgia is hoping to help this Christmas! 🎁

This sweet family is a single mom raising two little girls, ages 4 and 2, and we'd love to help make Christmas extra special for all three of them. ❤️

As a nonprofit, we know that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. Our goal is to find items these girls will love without requiring anyone to spend money buying something new. If you have gently used toys, clothes, or other items sitting around your house that your own kids have outgrown, this is a wonderful opportunity to pass that joy along!

She's at that fun age where imagination, pretend play, and all things pink can make a day extra special! If you have Gabby's Dollhouse toys, princess items, pink and white accessories, or clothes in her size that your little one has outgrown, please think of her!

🐾 Favorite shows: Paw Patrol & Frozen
🍓 Favorite snack: Fruit gummies
👚👖 Clothing size: 3T
👟 Shoe size: 6.5

This little one loves her favorite characters, too! If you have Paw Patrol or Frozen toys, purple or white clothing, toddler toys, or clothes and shoes in her size that are still in good condition, we'd love to hear from you!

🎁 HOW YOU CAN HELP

You don't have to go shopping. You don't have to spend a dime!

We are looking for gently used items that are clean, complete, and ready for another child to enjoy. We cannot accept broken toys or games with missing pieces.

I know, I know… it’s only October! 😂🎅 But when you’re trying to help make Christmas special for 6 Georgia families and 17 children, it’s never too early to start!

Earlier this year, Clothing Swap Georgia had the opportunity to help these six families, and we would love to come together as a community to help make their holiday season a little brighter, too. ❤️

Here’s the thing: You do NOT have to spend any money to help make Christmas magical for these kids! 🎁

We know about programs like Angel Tree, Operation Santa, and Toys for Tots, and those are wonderful ways to give. But we want to offer another way to help that might be even easier for some of you.

As you clean out your kids’ bedrooms, closets, toy boxes, and storage spaces to make room for the new things coming this holiday season, we’re asking you to look for things your family no longer uses but another child would absolutely love!

Did your child get roller skates for Christmas last year and wear them once? We have a little girl asking for a pair of four-wheel skates, and she doesn't mind if they're gently used! 🛼💗

Have toys your kids have outgrown? Games they no longer play? Holiday decorations you don't need? Clothes that no longer fit? Those things could become someone else's Christmas treasures.

Especially with younger children, the magic isn't always about having something brand new. It's about getting that toy they've been wanting, finding something that makes them smile, and feeling the excitement of Christmas morning. ✨

Please don't worry if you don't have anything on this exact list. If you have something in good, usable condition that your family no longer needs, we'd love to hear from you!

❤️ A QUICK NOTE ABOUT DONATIONS: ❤️

We are looking for items that are still in good enough condition for another child to enjoy. Please make sure toys work, games have all their pieces, and items are clean and ready for their next home. We unfortunately cannot accept broken toys or incomplete games.

If you have something you'd like to donate, please send Clothing Swap Georgia a message! We'll coordinate a pickup with you so donating is as easy as possible.

🎀 WE CAN ALSO USE GIFT-WRAPPING SUPPLIES!

If you have wrapping paper, bows, gift bags, or gift boxes you no longer need, we'd be happy to put those to use, too! Every little bit helps.

As we get closer to Christmas, we'll also be looking into the kids' favorite snacks and may put together an Amazon wishlist for those items so we can make sure they're fresh when the time comes. 🍪🍿

I know that helping six families and 17 children is a BIG goal. But I also know how generous our community can be, and I truly believe we can make it happen when we work together. ❤️

So as you're cleaning out those toy boxes and making room for Christmas, please think of us!

📦 WHAT IF JUST $6 COULD HELP A FAMILY RECEIVE CLOTHING? ❤️

At Clothing Swap Georgia, we believe every family deserves access to clothing, no matter their circumstances or where they live.

That's why, in addition to hosting clothing swaps across Georgia, we do our best to ship clothing directly to families who reach out for help and cannot attend one of our events.

But we need your help.

Our shipping fund has officially dropped back down to $0, and we want to change that before more families reach out.

📦 Shipping a box typically costs $6–$20, depending on the family's size and clothing needs.

❄️ Winter clothing may cost even more to ship because coats, sweaters, and other cold-weather items are heavier and bulkier.

Our goal is to build a reserve that allows us to respond when families need us, instead of having to wait until we can raise shipping money.

If 10 people gave $10, that would be $100 toward helping us ship clothing to families in need!

WHO WORE THIS JACKET? 👀💗

I found this jacket at the Bogart Clothing Swap, and now I can’t stop wondering about its story.

Who bought it?

Was it worn on a first date?
A job interview?
A girls’ night out?
A road trip where the playlist was questionable but the memories were perfect? 😂
Did someone wear it to a celebration? To a new job? To pick their kids up from school? To a thousand completely ordinary days that, at the time, didn’t feel extraordinary at all?

How old is it?

We’ll probably never know.

And that’s one of my favorite things about a clothing swap.

Because when someone lets go of a piece of clothing, they aren’t necessarily getting rid of a story.

They’re giving that story another chapter.

Maybe this jacket has already had one owner.
Maybe three.
Maybe someone bought it, wore it once, and it spent years waiting in the back of a closet for this exact moment.

And now…

someone else gets to write the next chapter. ❤️

That's the magic of what we're doing with Clothing Swap Georgia.

We're not just moving clothes from one closet to another.

We're keeping good things in circulation, making clothing accessible to families who need it, reducing waste, and creating a place where one person's “I don't need this anymore” can become another person's “YES! This is exactly what I needed.”
