My 7yr old space expert LOVES this book! From the gorgeous illustrations by C.F. Payne to the excellent story telling of , is an out of this world adventure that the whole family will enjoy!

Since becoming physically disabled, I don’t get out of my house much these days, but recently I went to Walmart for a few essentials and saw this display. It reminded me of how much I loved trying out new products and giving them honest reviews.
Years ago, when I was writing for , I was lucky enough to be given several “temporary tattoos” from a new company called InkBox, to try out and provide honest feedback on them. I loved them and bought several more with my own money to give to friends!
Seeing them in Walmart now really made me smile. I have no idea when InkBox landed in but I am really happy for them!
Even more, this was a great reminder of something that I truly loved doing, trying out new/new to me items, books, movies, tv shows, and treats, and providing my honest, funny, and informative thoughts and opinions. So, thank you InkBox for reminding me that even though my life has completely changed since I first reviewed your product, there’s nothing stopping me from doing something that brings me joy.

Sunday’s Update:

Almost a whole week since my surgery and WHEW BOY am I in pain.

I am having serve pressure on my ear drums where I get pulsating, stabbing pain in my ear drums and directly in my new joint. I’m talking intense 9/10 pain that makes me wish I could scream but I can’t because of the whole banded shut thing.

The paralyzed places are still paralyzed and the numb places are still numb.

The good news is that I am getting better at changing out my bands.

The bad news is that I am starving 24/7 and all the things I am craving, I can’t have.

The good news is that I’ve lost 10lbs since surgery.

I admitted to Mom, Dad, and Robert that this is way harder then I thought it would be. They admitted that I am doing way better then they thought I would do. Which was really great to hear. They thought I would be stuck in bed moaning in pain and that’s definitely not the case.

But I severely underestimated how painful this surgery was going to be.

I hoping the next few days bring lower pain levels and better sleep.

My swelling is still pretty up there so hopefully once that starts to come down, my pain levels will come down with it.

New year, new jaw.
