I had the privilege of assisting during a weekend photo shoot.

To work along side him for three days. To work in his world and learn so much. To work with one of the top world educators in the beauty industry. I literally ran around like crazy looking for hair forms, hair pins, tools and at times for my own breath. This was eye opening. A pivotal point in my life and my career. I am eternally grateful to the people who allowed me to be who I am. There will be more to come. Never lose sight of who you are and your dreams.

Go beyond fear, invite the fear. Finally have my rhythm - the way that I choose. Having a positive work/ life balance that pushes and pulls as such as a wave hugs the shore. I have sacrificed, am sacrificing and will sacrifice money over having piece of mind body and soul. I am slow. I take my time and fortunate to do as I please. I am a late bloomer in this lifetime. I am moving within my flow which is of that a steady stream. I refuse to spread myself thin for I am as decadent as a petite jar of small town jam. I’ve entered a new career field that allows me to explore and express, shifting back into physical fitness and helping my fellow soul sisters bring our non-profit organization into fruition. With firm footing, I am on the rise with no end in sight. For everything I need and want is already mine. Constantly saying, “Why race to a red light?”.

Being borderline tortured for being diverse,
As If being myself, in the most sincerest of manners, was a foreign verse.

I know I am deserving of everything,
For I have learned that Divine Love is worth worshipping.

I have found my home both in business and in pleasure,
Those who once ridiculed me cannot compare in any measure.

Generous, sweet and kind.

Being Transgender is the hardest obstacle I am tackling to this day (please read that again). This will never go away, this is who I am, who I want to be. I’ve struggled, am struggling and will continue to struggle in all avenues of my life in someway, somehow. But this so-thought weakness has become one of the greatest strengths of my existence. A life long pursuit that will continue to guide me to be my best self so matter how treacherous times may be. I see so many of my fellow trans sisters found at the end of the river, hanged, stabbed and beaten senseless. I yearn for a world of acceptance, peace and love.
