There are many layers and facets that make up USWD. Phase I began in 2006, when Makala Fields created a collaged shirt representing Black love and Black families. Love for her people, art and imagery coupled with an overwhelming response from the community, helped give birth to Unspoken Word Designs. She chose “Unspoken Word” because she felt that imagery alone could speak volumes; specifically to the youth.

The Creative Reset Mail Club for September is now available! I sent an email to subscribers yesterday and some people jumped on it immediately. I’m grateful. ✨
This month’s package includes:
• A tiny handmade art journal
• Collage papers and handmade collage elements
• Stamped fabric
• A 5x7 coloring sheet featuring one of my original collages
• A brand-new hand-carved stamp design
Each package is created by hand, so slight variations make every one unique. Available through September 20 or until sold out, whichever comes first! 💌
