As our faces change over time, a few tweaks to the way we apply our makeup can make all the difference.

Placement really does matter when you’re trying to create a more lifted look.

Quick filming blooper — my contour application didn’t make it into the recording, but you can see exactly where I placed it before blending.

I use these two simple lines as a lifting guide, then keep my contour and blush above and inside those lines. Keeping your makeup in this upper area helps create the illusion of a more lifted face — and strategic concealer placement adds even more lift!

It really does make a difference in the overall look.

At 65, I’ve learned that adding more concealer under my eyes usually isn’t the answer.

When things started to change with my skin, that was what I was doing, and I’m so happy that I found some alternatives

The key is to use the less product and keep the area very hydrated

Sometimes a little pink is all I need. This one is referred to as a espresso shot for your under eyes. Pink Brightens, but it also is a color corrector.

I absolutely love this Palladio Beauty pink corrector. It brightens the look of my under-eye area without feeling heavy, and the creamy texture blends beautifully. I tap a small amount on with my finger to warm it up, then feather the edges into my foundation with a brush.

It has peptides, caffeine, vitamin E, and biotin, too. I love it so much that I keep a backup! Have you tried a pink corrector under your eyes?

Pro tip: you can mix it with your favorite concealer. What I would do in that case is apply this where that dark color is and then use your concealer on either side of it and blend altogether.

Have you tried this? I’ve tried so many different products and methods. This one is the best I’ve tried so far.

I didn’t show it, but I did start with a balm. I never skip that step. It really helps with creasing and gives you all day hydration.

Then place the color corrector only where you need it. Just a small amount. Then place your concealer alongside it where needed.

Blend gently by tapping. I go over it several times kind of back-and-forth.

Applying some alongside your nose, and then at your temple really helps brighten and open up your eye.

I sprayed some hydrating setting spray on the brush to help blend , then I applied feather blotting dust by Seint beauty , it is a blurring powder. It works great and I was never one to use powder, but the blurring powder is phenomenal.

The color corrector I use was by Palladio Beauty , color Soft Pink. My concealer is by Seint beauty. Color is Sunlit.

The easiest way to cover your dark circles is to add color corrector exactly where you need it, followed by a foundation close to your skin color or a concealer that works for you. I am using concealer/brightener.

I always start with a balm. It creates a smooth, cushioned base and gives that delicate under-eye area lasting hydration.

Blend the corrector and concealer together by gently tapping over the area several times. I also like to add a little concealer toward my temple to brighten that area and soften the look of the little hollow or “divot” we can get there.

Once everything is in place, I lightly feather it into my foundation so everything blends seamlessly.

You only need a small amount of product to get a beautiful, natural-looking result.
