5 signs you're abandoning yourself to keep everybody else happy.
And here's the uncomfortable part…
Sometimes the people in your life aren't even asking you to sacrifice as much as you do.
You're volunteering.
You're saying yes when you want to say no.
You're pretending things don't bother you.
You're taking responsibility for feelings that aren't yours to manage.
And then you're wondering why you're exhausted and resentful.
Here's a question worth asking yourself:
“Would I still say yes if I weren't afraid of their reaction?”
You don't have to stop caring about people.
You just have to stop disappearing in the process.
❤️ Save this for the next time you feel guilty about putting yourself first.
Independence is freedom.
Feeling like you can never ask for help. That’s a different conversation.
Who else has had to learn this? 🙋♀️
Try this today:
1. What do I keep doing?
2. What does it give me immediately?
3. What is it costing me later?
An exercise from The Pattern Breaker, available now for $27.

Before you send the novel, ask yourself what response you’re hoping to get. Sometimes the most important conversation is the one you have with yourself first. Save this for the next time your thumbs start writing Chapter 12. 😂

I think social media has completely effed up the word “toxic.”
And before somebody comes for me, yes, genuinely harmful and abusive people exist. I've experienced that firsthand. But somebody disappointing you doesn't automatically make them toxic. Somebody disagreeing with you doesn't automatically make them a narcissist. And somebody telling you something you don't want to hear isn't necessarily gaslighting you.
Sometimes people are wrong. Sometimes WE are wrong. And sometimes two people simply want different things.
I worry we've gotten so comfortable labeling people that we're forgetting how to have uncomfortable conversations. Not every disagreement is abuse. Not every disappointment is manipulation. And not every person who leaves your life was the villain.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is walk away and sometimes the healthiest thing you can do, is look at your own part in the situation.
Knowing the difference matters.

YOU KNOW BETTER. SO WHY THE HELL DO YOU KEEP DOING IT?
You said yes when you wanted to say no.
You sent the text you promised yourself you wouldn't send.
You asked for reassurance even though you already knew what you wanted.
And afterward, you thought, “Why do I keep doing this?”
Because recognizing a pattern and knowing how to interrupt it are two different things.
That's why I created The Pattern Breaker.
It's a 24-page workbook designed to help you:
✔ Identify the pattern you keep repeating.
✔ Recognize what triggers it.
✔ Understand what you're getting from it.
✔ Explore the uncomfortable feelings underneath it.
✔ Create a plan to start responding differently.
✔ Practice with a seven-day challenge.
No motivational fluff. No pretending a workbook will magically change your life.
Just practical tools to help you start doing the work.
Available now for $27.

Knowing better and doing better are two very different things. If there’s a behavior you keep repeating, get curious about what it gives you in the moment.
That’s usually where the real answer is. Save this for the next time you catch yourself doing the damn thing again. 😂
You can forgive yourself without rewriting history to make yourself the hero of every chapter. ❤️
You can trace your story all the way back to childhood, map your attachment style, explain the pattern like you’re teaching a masterclass, and still end up in the same situation with the same type of person, same self-betrayal. The real issue is you keep doing the safe part. Thinking without acting on it.
If you wrote about boundaries and never sent the text, nothing moved. You just got better at avoiding it.
Remember, healing is behavioral.
Save this for the moment you start negotiating with yourself again.
