The Halloween Scents Got a Big Upgrade!

Been eyeing those Halloween scents, and weren't completely sure due to the carrier blend? Well, there's still plenty of time to give these great options a chance!

Was pretty tired Sunday, so I started on EVERYTHING on Monday. Had to heat up the butter base to get fragrance oil added to make each butter, so it took a bit of time for stuff to cool, so I didn't get cracked lids like I did the first time I did this months ago 😂

But, I got the LAST butter done last night, and boxed up the smaller box for the one HUGE order I had, and the rest of the orders, aside from 2 I was able to finish Tuesday and Wednesday, and send out already.

These will be going to USPS and UPS today, so most of y'all should have your tracking, and it should start updating later today, at least with the status of having the shipping carrier receiving them.

Some Updates to Our Carrier Blends!

Hey everyone!

I've been spending some time making improvements to our carrier blends for both beard oils and butters, and wanted to share what's changing!

One thing I've always emphasized at J-Bob's Beard Co. is making products that are beneficial for both your beard AND the skin underneath. That includes paying close attention to comedogenicity (how likely an ingredient is to clog pores), conditioning, and overall product longevity.

So, what's staying?

Golden Jojoba – Lightweight conditioning and softness.

Rice Bran – Antioxidant-rich nourishment.

Moringa – Deep conditioning and beard manageability.

Meadowfoam – Moisture retention and stability.

What's leaving?

We're saying goodbye to Grapeseed and Pumpkin Seed Oils. Both have great benefits, but their comparatively short shelf lives made me want to explore more stable alternatives.

And what's new?

Abyssinian Oil – Silky feel, shine, and manageability.

High Oleic Safflower Oil – Lightweight conditioning and improved stability.

Vitamin E – Antioxidant protection that helps preserve the blend.

When do these changes take effect?

They're already happening!

All newly produced beard butters, including Unscented, Family Pumpkin Patch, and Custom Limited Runs, are using the updated butter blend.

Newer beard oils, including The Rule of Rose Collection, fall seasonals, and Custom Limited Runs, are also using the updated oil blend.

The remaining inventory will transition gradually, with the goal of completely phasing out the old carrier blend before the end of 2026!

At the end of the day, I'm always looking for ways to improve the products I make. Great fragrances are important, but the ingredients underneath them matter just as much!

The Chapters – A Journey Through Mind, Soul and Self

8 Companies. 8 Beard Oils. 1 Cause.

Sometimes, the hardest battles we face are the ones nobody else can see.

We all have our own stories. Some are filled with happiness, laughter, and wonderful memories. Others contain chapters we'd rather forget. Moments of uncertainty, loss, struggle, and times when simply getting through another day can feel like an impossible task.

But no matter how difficult the story becomes, there's always the possibility of another chapter.

That's what The Chapters is all about.

Eight different companies have come together for something that goes far beyond beard care. Each of us is creating a unique fragrance, representing a different part of the human experience, with a shared purpose: raising awareness for mental health and su***de prevention.

Each participating company will be donating a portion of its sales to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), helping support an organization dedicated to mental health education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families.

For my contribution, Chapter V – A Light in the Darkness, I wanted to create something that represents a simple, but incredibly important moment.

Someone reaches out.

Sometimes, when everything around us feels overwhelming, it only takes one person to remind us that we aren't alone. A conversation. A little understanding. A hand extended when we need it most.

That's the story I wanted this fragrance to tell.

There's a sense of freshness here, like the first breath of air after a long storm. A gentle brightness begins to emerge, accompanied by a comforting warmth that slowly builds beneath it. Something peaceful, reassuring, and quietly grounded, representing the strength we sometimes forget we have.

It's not meant to erase the darkness. It's meant to remind us that even in our most difficult moments, a little light can make a difference.

And just as every fragrance in this collaboration tells a different story, every person has their own journey. We may not always understand what someone else is going through, but we can choose to listen, to care, and to be there for one another.

I'm genuinely grateful to be part of this project, alongside seven other companies who believe this message is worth sharing.

The story begins November 1st.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing the individual chapters and the stories behind them. I hope you'll take a little time to follow along, learn what each represents, and help us spread a message that reaches well beyond our little corner of the beard care community.

Because sometimes, the most important thing we can do for someone is remind them that their story isn't over.

Never give up on anyone. And that includes not giving up on yourself.

Got some fun changes coming along here soon!

The last bit of my older carrier blend with Pumpkin and Grap Seed is getting phased out. Replaced both of those with the following:

Abyssinian Oil
High Oleic Safflower Oil

Both do a better job with scents and overall shelf life.

High Oleic Safflower offers the nutrients Pumpkin used to, but lasts significantly longer. It is at a lower percentage in the mix, so it'll keep the comedogenic rating stay right around that 2 of 5 range.

More details and a better breakdown to come later this week!

Gotta get caught up on orders from this weekend, so I'll be keeping plenty busy!
