Mellissa booked a headshot session to update her profiles and refresh her brand presence. Rather than traditional headshots, she wanted lifestyle images that captured her vibrant personality, while also reflecting her passion for her work and the person behind her professional expertise.
Mellissa Lezama is an Attorney-at-Law, HR consultant and global employment law specialist, and the Founder and CEO of The HR Horizon, a digital HR consultancy serving startups, SMEs and growing organisations across the Caribbean and beyond. With more than 25 years of experience across the US, UK and Caribbean, she helps business owners build the people frameworks, policies and practical guidance they need to grow and scale with confidence, so they can focus on building their business rather than putting out fires.
When she's not working, Mellissa loves time with her family, a good book, exploring new places and different cultures, and (fair warning) any post-apocalyptic show or movie you can recommend. Her happiest moments are spent with the people she loves, whether that's on the beach or out on the water.
If you're a founder or business owner wondering how to get your people side right as you grow, she's always happy to chat. Connect with her or visit thehrhorizon.com.

Give me a smoky eye and a beautiful face to work with. Iyanna James-Stephenson
This look was all about drama, definition and intensity.
A deeper smoky eye, sculpted skin, luminous highlights and just enough softness to keep everything feeling polished rather than heavy.
One of the things I love about makeup is how much you can change the mood without changing the woman.
Same beautiful face.
Completely different energy.
This was one of the looks I created while working alongside my coach Anais J McCaskie in New York, and I absolutely loved pushing the artistry a little further.
Bold. Smoky. Glamorous.
And yes... sometimes I really do love a dramatic eye.

One of the looks I had the opportunity to create while in New York.
I love bridal makeup that feels polished and beautiful without making the bride feel like she is wearing someone else's face.
The goal is beautiful skin, thoughtful definition and makeup that photographs beautifully while still allowing her to be the focal point.
I had the opportunity to work alongside my coach Anais J McCaskie during this session, and it was such a wonderful reminder that even after 17+ years in the industry, there is always something new to refine.
Makeup should enhance who you are, not change who you are.

Grateful. Blessed. Older.
Apparently, this is what growing wiser looks like. Thank you Lord for another year of life filled with lessons, laughter and blessings.

Professional Headshot session for DrĀ Jamelia Harris
In my work, I get to meet some brilliant minds, and Dr. Jamelia Harris is no exception.Ā A busy lady, it was a pleasure to finally get her in the studio to update her images, thoughtfully orchestrated by her sister.
Meeting her, I was struck not only by her charisma, but by her thought-provoking and reflective nature. I felt that these images captured a little of the woman behind the accomplishments, and Iām so pleased to have had the opportunity to photograph her.
Hereās a little more about Dr. Jamelia Harris:
Dr. Harris is an Economist with over 15 yearsā experience in development economics, labour economics, public finance and public policy. She is presently an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Employment Research, University of Warwick. Before joining Warwick, she worked as a consultant in international development for a number of years.
Her research interests include labour market institutions; how history, politics and culture affect the labour market; transitions from education to work; job quality; and fair and decent work. She has conducted research in several countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the UK, and has taught at universities in the UK, Lithuania and Sierra Leone. She has also advised governments on their public financial management policies in Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. She has published several academic journal articles, reports and working papers, and currently writes opinion pieces in the local Trinidad and Tobago newspapers.
Outside of work, Jamelia enjoys travelling, reading, playing board games, hiking and liming with friends and family.
Jamelia has lived and worked abroad for a number of years and has travelled to over 40 countries, but she remains a Trini to d bone and a proud product of her Morvant/Laventille community.

Professional Headshot session for Reanne Fournillier
Reanne wanted updated images for her professional profiles, and I wanted to create portraits that reflected her natural warmth, confidence, and approachability.
It was a pleasure capturing her charming aura and creating images that feel both professional and authentic.
Hereās a little more about Reanne:
Reanne is an ACCA-qualified accountant with over a decade of experience across the insurance industry, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and auditing.
Throughout her career, she has developed a strong ability to lead, support, and inspire her team, creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to grow, stay motivated, and achieve success.
Beyond her professional life, Reanne is a proud mom to one boy and a family-oriented person who values time with her loved ones.
When sheās not working or caring for her family, youāll find Reanne enjoying a good movie or TV series, or getting creative with crafting.
Her words:
āGreat service, stunning makeup and photos. I would definitely recommend MOB.ā

Kelvin was gifted a lifestyle branding session by one of his good friends, and I certainly understand why. He has such an upbeat, optimistic personality that is easy to love, and that energy came through beautifully during our session.
His reaction to the images:
āAgain! Wow! Thank you so much! I am in awe!!!!
Thank you for working with me and bringing out the best in me with this project! THANK YOU!ā
And honestly, Kelvin, it was my pleasure. Thank you for trusting me with the opportunity to capture this side of you.

Here's what Dr Saheeda Mujaffa had to say about her Miles of Beauty experience.

Dual Portrait session for Dr Saheeda Mujaffa
Three years ago, Dr Saheeda decided that when she was ready for a portrait session, she wanted me to photograph her.
This year, she finally did.
A lecturer in Food Science and Technology at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, she has spent more than 15 years teaching, researching and mentoring the next generation of professionals.
But beyond academia, she enjoys good food, music, the people she loves and playing her violin simply for the love of it.
So when she came to Miles of Beauty for updated professional headshots, we also created portraits that celebrated the woman behind the profession.
Professional. Personal. Authentic.
Because your portraits should reflect who you are, not just what you do. ā¤ļø
The legendary Natacha Jones celebrated her 65th birthday yesterday, and what a beautiful reminder that self-care, confidence, and embracing life wholeheartedly never go out of style.
Doesn't she look absolutely fantastic?
For her special celebration, Natacha wanted a soft, fresh, dewy makeup look that enhanced her natural beauty. She told me it was exactly what she envisioned, and that made me so happy.
Happy Birthday, Natacha! Wishing you many more years filled with good health, joy, laughter, and beautiful moments. May you continue to inspire everyone around you by celebrating life to the fullest. ššāØ Natacha Jones
