KEFFE D FOUND GUILTY OF TUPAC SHAKUR'S MURDER.

The Jury in the USA has found Duane “ Keffe D ” Davis guilty in the murder of Tupac Shakur, 30 years after the rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas .

Jurors deliberated for less than three hours before finding him guilty of murder with the use of a deadly weapon with an intention to promote further or assist a criminal gang. The 63-year old now faces a possible maximum life imprisonment .

Ester Opia is a young student at Destiny University College who sells bananas and snacks on the street of Juba struggling to pay her rent and tuition fees at the same time.

According to her, Ester lost her father when she was a very young age and she grew up in a very difficult family situation at just 12 years old, she came to Juba and worked as a housemaid before starting her street selling .

Currently, she balances going to school with selling goods on the streets despite challenges, she also determined to complete her education.

NB! Ester created a page to document her journey of struggle from selling bananas to graduation while inspecting other South Sudanese students who are self-independent on school fees payments.

She wrote,

WARAP STATE PEACE TOURNAMENT FINAL TO GO ON AS PLANNED

JUBA – The Grand Final and Third Place match of the Warrap State Peace Tournament will go on as planned, the tournament leadership has confirmed.

This comes after a meeting today between the leadership of the Warrap State Peace Tournament, led by President Deng Dut Parek Dut and Vice President Makuac Bol Aweengdit, and Hon. Bush Buse, the Central Equatoria State Minister of Youth and Sports.

The meeting was held to discuss the recent temporary suspension of community tournaments in Juba by the state government.

Speaking after the meeting, Hon. Bush Buse “assured the Warrap leadership that the suspension will be lifted soon, provided all tournaments meet the required safety and security measures for teams, fans, and the general public”.

The tournament leadership highlighted that “the Warrap State Peace Tournament remains one of the most peaceful community tournaments in Juba, with zero record of physical violence among fans”. President Deng Dut commended

The leadership also appreciated the Central Equatoria State Government, particularly Governor Hon. Anthony Emmanuel Adil, for continued support. Both the Opening Ceremony and Grand Final of this year’s tournament are sponsored by the CES Government.

President Deng Dut further assured the public that the tournament leadership always addresses any issues of concern before matches.

“As President, I’m assuring you that our Grand Final and Third Place will go on as planned, unless there is a delay from our own administrative arrangements prior to the final," Deng Dut Parek Dut said.

The dates and venue for the Grand Final will be communicated by the tournament secretariat.

Governor Adil denies blocking NPM rally in Lainya

Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has denied allegations that he blocked the National Patriotic Movement from holding a political rally in Lainya County.

The NPM accused the governor of violating political freedoms despite the party reportedly obtaining the necessary approval. The rally was initially planned for July 18 before being moved to July 25 to avoid clashing with the governor’s visit to the area.

NPM official Dr Muzamil reportedly said the party informed authorities about the new date, but the event was stopped at the last minute.

However, the governor’s office said it was unaware of and not involved in any circumstances that affected the rally.

The office described the allegations as unfair and misleading, saying NPM had presented no credible evidence linking Governor Adil to the decision.

It also called on the party to avoid unsupported accusations and follow the appropriate channels when raising political concerns.
