The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Bentiu has stepped in to support the rehabilitation of the Nyeruop Port–Mirmir road extending to Koch County headquarters, following a formal request from the county authorities.

The Pakistani engineering contingent based in Bentiu well known for maintaining the road between the Bentiu Protection of Civilians (POC) site and Bentiu town, especially during the rainy season has now extended its support to Koch County. The team is assisting with critical road maintenance works along the Nyeruop Port to Mirmir corridor and onward to the county headquarters to improve accessibility and transportation.

This intervention is expected to ease movement for residents, enhance service delivery, and strengthen connectivity within the area, particularly during challenging weather conditions.
