I didn’t know Singapore was this big. 😂

One thing this business does is bring me to places I probably wouldn’t otherwise find myself. Today’s pop-up took us further west than I think My Naked Bar has ever ventured. 😅

It’s also been a while since I’ve done a pop-up, and apparently getting back into the rhythm takes a bit.

Case in point: we completely forgot our soap samples. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We’d taken them out of our pop-up trolley for a school talk yesterday… and left them behind.

What surprised me was that even without samples, so many of you were still game to pick up a bar and give it a try, including some who had never used bar soap before.

And thank you to the gentleman who decided to take home almost every one of our bars to try. 😂 I’d genuinely love to know one day which becomes your family’s favourite.

One of the nicest parts of today actually started before we got there.

One of our longtime milk-carton contributors spotted Roche on our pop-up schedule and messaged to say that’s her workplace.

And of course, she didn’t just come down to say hello. She brought another stash of cartons with her. 😂🧡

Thank you for continuing to collect them for us, for bringing them all the way to work, and for coming down to support us too.

Sometimes these pop-ups are about sales.

And sometimes they remind me how far this little soap business has travelled, quite literally, and how many people have somehow become part of it along the way.

Thank you Roche and Truevine for having us and bringing My Naked Bar somewhere new, and thank you to everyone who stopped by, chatted with us and took a chance on a bar of soap. 🧡

The long journey west was very worth it. 🧡

This Saturday’s Central Singapore Market holds a little extra meaning for me. 🧡

Pathlight is a place I’ve come to know well over the past 10+ years as an .

My boy sometimes comes to visit me at pop-ups. Usually I’ll see him for a little while, then he wanders off. 😂

But this time, we’re on familiar ground. So I’m challenging him to do something he hasn’t done before: stay at the booth and actually help out.

And I’ve given him a proper role. Cashier. 😬

I started preparing him for this about a month ago. Knowing that he’s much more of a visual learner, I made him his own Cashier Mission sheet so he knows exactly what happens, step by step.

So if you visit our booth this Saturday and checkout takes a little longer than usual, please be patient with our new cashier while he works through his mission. 🧡

For me, this isn’t really about getting an extra pair of hands at the booth.

It’s about seeing if, in a place that’s familiar to him and where there’s greater awareness and understanding, he can take on a little more responsibility and do something independently.

Come say hello. And perhaps buy a bar or two so he actually gets some cashier practice. 😂
