A Real Case: When Technique Matters More Than the Product

A client came to us with onycholysis (separation of the nail plate from the nail bed) that had developed after a nail service performed at another salon.

What went wrong?

▪️ Excessive nail length was retained despite the compromised condition of the natural nails.
▪️ An excessive amount of product was applied.
▪️ The nail architecture was incorrect, resulting in improper stress distribution.
▪️ A rubber base was used to build and structure the nails, even though this type of product is not recommended for creating nail architecture.

As a result, the weakened nails were unable to withstand the additional load, leading to further complications.
