Grabe, just in time when I needed it most. 🥹❤️
I booked a flight months ago for my birthday trip, thinking I’d have plenty of time to prepare for it. But life changed a little. I resigned from my part-time job, affiliate sales have been quiet, and naturally, my monthly income went down.
So when my last paycheck came in, I honestly wasn’t expecting anything extra.
I checked my Wise notification and noticed the amount was higher than what I expected. Akala ko may mali sa computation, so I messaged our accounts team agad.
Then I was told:
“May bonus.”
Literal na napatingin ako ulit. 😭
And when I found out why, mas na-touch ako.
My client wanted to show her appreciation for the extra care, patience, and support I gave while helping someone on their team. Something I honestly didn’t do expecting anything in return. I was just trying to help the best way I knew how.
What makes this even more emotional for me is looking back at the first photo.
August 2022: “Congratulations, you got hired part-time.”
I started with her with a completely different level of experience. I didn’t know then how much I would learn, how much responsibility I’d eventually handle, or how much trust I would be given inside her business.
Four years later, I’m still here.
Still learning. Still growing. Still trying to give my best.
And somehow, this unexpected bonus arrived at exactly the right time. I was able to cover my booked flight without touching the savings I’ve been protecting. 🥹
More than the money, though, it’s the feeling of being appreciated.
Having a client who notices the things you do behind the scenes, trusts your judgment, listens to your ideas, gives you room to grow, and respects the way you work is something I’ll never take for granted.
