PNP ARRESTS MOST WANTED IN BULACAN DOUBLE MURDER CASE IN CAVITE MANHUNT
The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a 45-year-old male listed among the most wanted persons for two counts of murder during a manhunt operation at around 11:00 AM on April 10, 2026, in Brgy. Marulas, Kawit, Cavite.
The accused, a resident of Navotas City, was apprehended by the Tracker Team of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with the Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Malolos City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 3, Regional Special Operations Group 3, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, and the Kawit Municipal Police Station of Cavite Police Provincial Office. The arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 11, City of Malolos, Bulacan, for two counts of murder without recommended bail.
The suspect is one of those linked to the killing of the Association of Barangay Captains President of Bulacan and his driver on October 3, 2024, in Brgy. Ligas, City of Malolos. While operatives were moving in to serve the warrant along Antero Soriano Highway, the accused attempted to flee using a motorcycle but collided with a police vehicle, causing damage before he was subdued and arrested.
The arrested individual was brought to the Bulacan PIU for documentation and proper disposition, while the warrant of arrest will be returned to the issuing court pending the issuance of a Commitment Order.
PGEN Nartatez Jr. underscored the firm stance of the PNP against violent offenders.
“This arrest reflects our sustained pressure against high-value fugitives. We will not allow those accused of serious crimes to remain at large,” he said.
“Walang pagtataguan ang mga may mabibigat na kaso. Sisiguraduhin naming maaabot sila ng batas,” he added.
This accomplishment aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda—a strategic direction of transformation designed to make police service more responsive and reliable—particularly in Enhanced Managing Police Operations, in the pursuit of wanted persons, a key priority directly reflected in this successful operation.
The PNP Chief also emphasized the importance of operational persistence.
“Our teams will continue to track down fugitives wherever they hide. Public safety demands consistent and decisive law enforcement action,” he stated.
“Patuloy ang aming operasyon laban sa mga kriminal upang mapanatili ang kaayusan sa ating mga komunidad,” he added.
As the PNP intensifies its operations against most wanted persons and strengthens efforts to bring offenders before the court under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

Subpoenas were served to concerned personnel and cadets, leading to their appearance before investigators. Joint case conferences and an on-site inspection of the cadet barracks were also conducted to validate statements and gather evidence.
Initial findings show that aside from the three cadets earlier taken into custody, four more cadets have been identified for their direct participation and will be included in the case as the investigation moves toward filing of appropriate charges.
Authorities said case build-up is ongoing to ensure a strong and evidence-based prosecution.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., underscored that the organization will not tolerate any breach of discipline.
“Hindi natin kukunsintihin ang ganitong gawain. Kung may paglabag, may kaakibat itong pananagutan. Ang hazing ay walang lugar sa PNP,” he said.
“We are committed to ensuring a thorough, impartial, and swift investigation.”
He likewise reminded all trainees and personnel to adhere to the core values of professionalism and respect.
“Ang layunin ng pagsasanay ay maghubog ng kakayahan at integridad, hindi takot o pananakit. Maging malinaw ito sa lahat—anumang uri ng pang-aabuso ay mahigpit na ipagbabawal at papatawan ng kaukulang aksyon,” he added.
The PNP reiterated its warning against hazing and all forms of violence, emphasizing that those found responsible will face both administrative and criminal charges. The public is also encouraged to report similar incidents to authorities.
This effort is part of the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Integrity Monitoring, aimed at strengthening accountability and discipline within the ranks. Guided by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the PNP remains firm in upholding professionalism and the rule of law.
The PNP assured that reforms and strict monitoring will continue within training institutions, reinforcing its commitment to a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
