This perfume pairs the French word for mist (brume) with Calvi, a historic port town perched on the rugged northwest coast of Corsica. Corsica is world-renowned for its citrus groves, particularly its exceptionally vibrant, prized pomelos (grapefruit). The sharp, invigorating opening of grapefruit and spicy ginger perfectly mirrors the crisp Mediterranean winds crashing against the granite walls of the ancient Calvi Citadel. The word brume captures the modern, molecular sea-mist quality of the heavy ambroxan and musk base. As the scent settles, the deep, grounding notes of vetiver and patchouli beautifully evoke the earthy, wild shrubland of the Corsican landscape.
This perfume is inspired by the Agdal Gardens of Marrakesh, a 12th-century UNESCO World Heritage site featuring vast, geometric orchards of citrus, fig, and date trees, which embody the exact DNA of this fragrance. "Solis" (Latin for Sun) represents the intense solar energy required to ripen the apricots and May roses that form the perfume's heart. This destination perfectly mirrors the scent's transition from a shaded, herbal garden into a honeyed fruit grove.
