It's 6:30 AM, and I was literally about to sleep after working through the night when I noticed an email sent at 6:00 AM.

The email asked if I was available for an interview call.

I almost missed it.

I immediately replied, quickly fixed my hair, put on some lipstick, and joined the call. No time to prepare. No time to rehearse.

Honestly, I was scared.

Part of me wanted to ask to reschedule. Another part wanted to ignore the email altogether because I didn't feel ready.

But before I joined, I whispered a simple prayer:

"Lord, if this opportunity is from You, let Your favor be upon me. Help me." 🤍

Then I showed up.

Sometimes, faith doesn't mean you're fully prepared. It simply means you choose to take the next step even while you're afraid.

The interview lasted... 3 minutes. 😅

Yes, just 3 minutes.

Most of my clients have actually hired me through a quick WhatsApp chat or a short phone call, so this wasn't the shortest conversation I've ever had—but it definitely reminded me that opportunities don't always wait until we feel ready.

Sometimes, all God asks us to do is show up.

So if you're waiting until you feel 100% confident before taking the next step, this is your reminder:

✨ Show up even when you're scared.
✨ Show up even when you feel unprepared.
✨ Show up, and let God do the rest.

There's more to this story, but I'll save it for another post. I still have a final call tomorrow, so let's wait and see how God works. 🙏🏻

I'll keep you updated and pray that if we're meant to work together, everything will fall into place according to His perfect will.

The best way to lead is to go first.

Stepping up before passing it on 💡

May bagong task si client. Nung una, nag-ask siya if pwede bang i-take over ng team namin yung task *kung may extra time*. I said no — and instead suggested hiring someone with the right expertise.

May extra time ba ang team? Honestly, meron. But that’s not always a signal to add more work. Hindi porke’t may konting space, pupunuin agad. I want my team to have a bit of slack time—to rest, recharge, and stay focused sa current responsibilities nila without burning out. Kasi doon nanggagaling ang quality work, hindi sa laging mabigat na workload.

As a leader, naniniwala ako na kailangan ko munang maintindihan yung process bago ko siya i-delegate sa team.

So bago mag-hire ng bago, I volunteered to handle it first - for now. Hindi dahil marami akong extra time, and not because the client asked me to—but because I want to fully understand the workflow, challenges, and expectations firsthand.

Of course, hindi ito about working for free—clear dapat ang scope, expectations, at value ng work. It’s about stepping in strategically, hindi para i-undervalue yung ginagawa natin.

Leadership isn’t just about directing work. It’s about clarity, empathy sa team, and making better decisions. By doing the work myself first, mas maayos ko silang magaguide and eventually maipapasa sa tamang tao with confidence.

Minsan, the best way to lead is to go first.
