Why Kūmarahou?
Kūmarahou is a treasured native rākau in rongoā Māori, traditionally used for caring for the skin, including rashes, sores and irritated skin.
Naturally containing compounds such as quercetin, kaempferol, ellagic acid and saponins, Kūmarahou has been studied for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cleansing properties.
This is why we value it in our eczema-prone skin formulations, as well as our shampoo and conditioner to help care for the scalp and hair.
For us, it’s more than an ingredient. It’s about whakapapa, mātauranga and keeping the knowledge of our native rākau alive through what we create.
