Something’s changed.
My mindset has truly shifted.
It’s not trying anymore.
It’s knowing.
Knowing that every move counts.
If I could hustle, I would.
But I can’t hustle like everyone else I see pushing life to its limits. And honestly, that has been one of the hardest things for me to accept.
Because I have a mind for it.
I have ideas. I have drive. I have ambition. I’m intelligent, creative, and I’ve made some pretty incredible things happen.
But for years, I’ve felt like I’m constantly taking two steps forward and five steps back because my capacity simply doesn’t match my ambition.
Sometimes I feel ripped off.
I think, If only I had the body and capacity to bring all these ideas to life.
If only doing the basics didn’t leave me completely depleted.
For years, I thought the answer was to somehow find a way to push harder.
Now I’m beginning to realise…
Gentle hustle is still hustle.
So, I’m introducing something I’m calling The Gentle Hustle.
Making every move count.
Well-thought-out moves for people who don’t have the capacity to put in the hours.
Because when you can’t do more, you learn to do differently.
And focusing on the blessings that have come from being forced into a gentler life has genuinely been life-changing.
I notice things other people might miss.
The small things bring me enormous joy.
I get to watch the movie.
Bake the cookies.
Watch my seedlings grow.
Hear the birds sing.
Notice the changing seasons.
And pay enough attention to anticipate what someone else might need before they even realise they need it.
I’ve learned the power of playing the long game.
I don’t struggle as much with things taking time anymore.
I’ve learned the art of alignment — of not needing everything to look a certain way before believing that it’s working out for me.
And maybe that’s a superpower in itself.
Because progress doesn’t have to involve ferocious hustle.
The hustle can be gentle.
Every step can be intentional.
Planned.
Thought through.
Intuitively guided.
Processed in a way that leaves as little negative residue as possible.
And sometimes, the biggest advantage comes from being able to anticipate what might happen next and recognise opportunities that other people simply don’t have the capacity to notice.
Does it take longer when you make every move with the intention of actually enjoying the journey?
Maybe.
But maybe that isn’t the point.
Maybe getting what I want is only part of what matters.
Maybe how I get there matters too.
Maybe reaching the destination without sacrificing my mind, my body, or my soul is worthy of consideration.
So no…
I’m not giving up on my ambition.
I’m not lowering the size of my dreams.
I’m just changing the way I get there.
Less force.
More intention.
Less urgency.
More alignment.
Less proving.
More knowing.
This is the Gentle Hustle.
And every move counts.
Be ✨️

I NEED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING… 👀
If you enjoy our content and also enjoy long-form content, I have something to tell you 😁
I’ve started vlogging long-form on YouTube! 🎥❤️
It is becoming abundantly clear to me that I have a knack for making people laugh, helping people feel less alone, and sharing the real, sometimes messy, sometimes hilarious, but always meaningful parts of our life.
And honestly… I LOVE IT. 🥹
So I’ve decided to give myself permission to go a little deeper.
You’ll find more of our everyday life over there — the gentle chaos, the kitchen adventures, cottage gardening, disability life, motherhood, our little family, getting things done when your capacity doesn’t always match your plans, and all the little moments in between.
It’s not polished perfection. It’s real life. And there’s something really special about slowing down enough to actually notice it.
If you’ve been enjoying our little corner of the internet, I’d love for you to come along for the longer version. 🏡🌱
YouTube is where the longer stories will live. ❤️
Come find me — Jacqui Be Creative 🎥
And if you’re already there… thank you. It means more than you probably realise. 🥰

Speeding Up By Slowing Down - Spring, Seeds, and Spa Pools 🌱 🫶 ☀️
Early spring has a way of reminding us that we don’t have to rush. 🌱☀️
Today was about enjoying the sunshine, sowing a few seeds, taking a little tour through our winter garden, and slowing down enough to listen to what my body actually needs.
While my little girl enjoyed her daily therapy in our spa pool, I spent some quiet time in the garden — reminding myself that restoration is just as important as movement.
We all have different bodies, different challenges and different journeys. What works for one person may not work for another.
But perhaps we’re all learning the same thing in our own way…
How to find a balance between mind, body and soul. 🤍
Sometimes slowing down isn’t falling behind.
Sometimes it’s exactly how we move forward. 🌿

3ft 8inch Mum unloading Van - Unpacking from our Summer Holiday ☀️
The sun is out here in Waikato, New Zealand. Spring is upon us and people are abuzz as the excitement for warm weather, flowy dresses, garden harvests, and new adventures draws near.
I got curious and started looking back on last year which is when I found this reel of me unpacking our new van after a whole bunch of road tripping and friends and family time.
I cant wait to see what this festive year will bring but am also so grounded and present in every precious moment that is leading us there.
Taking time to feel grateful and sparing a few prayers for those who really need them at this time.
