ARE WE TRULY INDEPENDENT? 🇳🇬
On 1 October 1960, Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule. But 66 years later, a deeper question remains:
Are we truly independent?
Independence is not only about raising the Green-White-Green flag. It is also about having the freedom, strength, institutions and unity to determine our own future.
As we celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day, perhaps we should ask ourselves: Have we achieved the independence our founding generations envisioned, or is there still work to be done?
🇳🇬 Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.
