​I received some deeply shocking and heartbreaking news today. A fellow fashion designer passed away. She was under intense pressure, rushing to finish an urgent dress for a customer, when she suddenly collapsed. She didn't make it to the hospital.
​She was someone who carried her whole family on her head, working tirelessly to provide.
​This tragedy is a massive wake-up call for all of us. The pressure from customers and the hustle for money can make us ignore what our bodies are telling us. But we must start listening.
​Listen to the warning signs: When your body is exhausted, do not ignore it.
​Prioritize your health: Go to the hospital, get checked, and do not wait until it is too late.
​Take a break: Even if it is just for two or three days. Rest is not a luxury; it is a necessity.
​No amount of money or urgent clothing is worth your life. Please, my fellow designers, let’s learn to drop the scissors and rest when our bodies demand it.
