Dear Nigerian Husband,
You said âIâm coming.â That was thirty minutes ago, and youâre still in that bathroom like youâre chairing a national meeting. đ
Please, which âcomingâ are we talking about? Because itâs definitely not the one Iâve been waiting for. đ
At this point, do I send a reminder, or appoint a search party? đ¤Ł
Tenderness People, tell me ,how long is your own husbandâs âcomingâ record?

Somewhere in Lagos this raining afternoon , a woman is under her roadside umbrella.
The rain doesnât pause the bills.
School fees donât wait for the weather.
Hunger doesnât take a day off because the skies are grey.
Behind every roadside stall is a story of resilience, sacrifice, and quiet determination.
So today, if you buy from a roadside seller, greet them with kindness. Be patient. If you can, pay fairly. Sometimes, your purchase is more than a transaction it may be the hope they needed to get through the day.
Letâs remember that behind every umbrella on the roadside is a human being doing their best to survive.

Dear Nigerian husbands,
There is a woman somewhere in Nigeria tonight.
She cooked.
She bathed the children.
She checked homework.
She packed school bags.
She prepared tomorrowâs food.
And when she finally sits down, someone says:
âThank you for taking care of the children.â
But the truth isâŚ
She didnât create those children alone.
Motherhood is heavy.
But it becomes lighter when fatherhood stands beside it.
Parenting is not a favour to your wife.
It is a promise you both made to your children.
â¤ď¸ To the fathers who truly show up every day, we see you.
To every tired mom, you're seen
No one claps for the mum who stayed awake all night.
No one sees the tears she hides.
But tomorrow morningâŚ
Sheâll still get up and do it all again

Somewhere in Nigeria tonight, a mother lies awake.
Not because sheâs full of energy. Sheâs exhausted, but her child has a fever.
Sheâs checked the thermometer more times than she wants to admit. She whispered quiet prayers into the darkness. Sheâs rummaged through cabinets for medicine, feeling her way around in the shadows. She keeps her palm pressed to that little forehead, hoping itâs cooler now.
She knows she has work in the morning. The bills wonât disappear, and the house is still waiting for her attention.
But right now, none of that matters. Not when her whole world is curled up in bed, needing her.
Tonight, all she wants to hear is a sleepy voice saying, âMummy, Iâm feeling better.â
To every parent out there whoâs sat awake by their sick child, we see you.
So tell us, how long have you stayed up, just watching over someone you love?

đŚ Traffic Confessions #01
Somewhere in Lagos traffic this morning, a mother missed her childâs school assembly.
Not because she didnât care.
But because the Third Mainland Bridge wasnât moving.
She watched the time on her dashboard.
7:35 AMâŚ
7:48 AMâŚ
8:10 Am
Her son had asked only one thing before leaving home:
âMummy, please donât miss it this time.â
She tried.
She really did.
When she finally arrived, the children were already walking back to their classrooms.
Her son smiled when he saw her.
But she noticed the disappointment he tried to hide.
As she drove away, she didnât blame the traffic.
She blamed herself.
Thatâs what many mothers do.
They carry guilt for things they never controlled.
To every Nigerian mother trying to be in two places at onceâŚ
We see you.
You are doing better than you think.

The children get the biggest piece of meat. Mama says sheâs not hungry. đ
The children eat the best part of the meal.
The biggest piece of meat.
The freshest fish.
The extra spoon of rice.
Mama watches their plates first.
âHave you eaten enough?â
âDo you want some more?âc
âTake mine if youâre still hungry.â
By the time everyone is satisfied, sheâs eating whatâs left.
The strongest love is often the sacrifice nobody sees.
Drop a â¤ď¸ If youâve ever watched a mother do this.
Take a moment to appreciate her today.

People often say motherhood is hard.
What they don't talk about is how much harder it becomes when your partner refuses to be a true partner.
A supportive husband shares the responsibilities.
The wrong one creates more of them.
Motherhood was never meant to be a one-woman team.
Do you agree that a good partner can make motherhood easier?
