DAVID HAD A WAITING SEASON

David was anointed king long before he sat on the throne.

Imagine knowing what God had promised you while your present reality looked completely different.

The oil had touched his head.

But the crown hadn't.

That is an important lesson:

A promise can be genuine while the process is still long.

Don't despise the season between “God said it” and “I can finally see it.”

Sometimes the waiting season is where preparation happens.

Being an adult in Nigeria sometimes feels like this:

You wake up with one problem.

Before you solve it, another one arrives.

Before you solve that one, somebody calls:
“Please, I want to ask you for a favour.” 😂

And you just stare at your phone thinking:
“Can somebody favour ME for once?” 😂😂

Yet somehow, by evening, you have survived another day.

If adulthood had a customer-care line, many of us would be calling daily.

What is the most stressful part of adulting for you? 😂

Looking rich and being financially stable are two completely different things.

A person can have expensive clothes and no savings.

A person can drive a beautiful car and struggle to maintain it.

A person can post luxury every day and still be one emergency away from panic.

Don't let social media pressure you into spending money just to look successful.

Build quietly.
Save intentionally.
Invest wisely.

There is nothing impressive about looking wealthy while secretly drowning in debt.

Would you rather LOOK rich or BE financially secure?

The uncomfortable truth about success

People often say:

“I just need an opportunity.”

But opportunity is not always the problem.

Sometimes preparation is.

If the opportunity you have been praying for arrived tomorrow, would you actually be ready for it?

The skill.

The discipline.

The knowledge.

The emotional maturity.

The consistency.

Don't only pray for the door to open. Prepare for what is behind the door.

MORNING PRAYER

Lord, thank you for this beautiful morning let this day surprise me with goodness.

Let the call I have been waiting for come.
Let the door I thought was impossible open.
Let the burden I have carried for too long become lighter.

Where I have no words, hear my heart.
Where I have no strength, carry me.

May I encounter Your goodness in places I least expect.

Today, let my testimony have a new chapter.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️

Tonight, don't only ask God to change the people around you.

Ask Him:

“Lord, show me the places in me that need Your attention.”

Show me where fear has been making my decisions.

Show me where pride has been preventing reconciliation.

Show me where unforgiveness has been keeping me emotionally tied to yesterday.

Show me where I have been accepting less than I should.

Show me where I have been hurting people without realizing it.

Show me what I need to release.

And give me the courage to obey what You reveal.

Sometimes the answer to our prayer begins with God changing our perspective before He changes our circumstances.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts.” — Psalm 139:23

Tonight, what is one thing you are asking God to search in you?

The apology that never comes

Sometimes the wound is not only what they did.
It is the fact that they watched you hurt and never thought to say, “I’m sorry.”

There are people who will explain their actions, defend themselves, blame circumstances and even tell you that you are too sensitive—but never acknowledge the pain they caused.

And eventually, you stop waiting for an apology.

Not because it didn't matter.

Because you finally understand that your healing cannot remain dependent on someone's willingness to admit they were wrong.

Forgiveness does not mean pretending it didn't happen.

Healing sometimes begins when you stop asking:

"When will they finally understand what they did to me?"

And start asking:

"What do I need to do to become whole again?"
