Today is my birthday. 🤍

And somehow, this birthday feels different.

Perhaps because the older I get, the more I understand that birthdays are not just about adding another year to your age. They are moments to pause, look back, and realize just how much grace it took to get here.

There were days I didn't know how I would make it through.
Days I smiled when my heart was tired.
Days I had questions I couldn't find answers to.
Days I had to encourage myself, wipe my own tears and keep going.

But here I am.

Still standing.
Still dreaming.
Still loving.
Still hoping.
Still trusting God.

And today, more than anything else, **I am grateful.**

Grateful to God for life. For the gift of another year. For the things He protected me from that I will never know about, and for the doors He opened that I could never have opened by myself.

I am grateful for my family—the people who have loved me through different versions of myself. The ones who have celebrated me, prayed for me, encouraged me, corrected me, supported me and reminded me that I am never truly alone.

And then there is my daughter, Ariel. ❤️

Being your mother has changed me in ways I never expected.

You have given me a different understanding of love. You have made me softer in some places, stronger in others, and more intentional about the kind of woman I want to become.

Sometimes I look at you and realize that while I am raising you, **you are also teaching me.**

You remind me to appreciate the little things. To laugh more. To love deeply. To be present. To keep going.

And perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts motherhood has given me—the opportunity to discover a version of myself I didn't know existed.

Today, I celebrate that woman.

Not a perfect woman.
Not a woman who has figured everything out.
Just a woman who has been through some things, learned some lessons, made mistakes, grown, started again and continues to believe that her best days are still ahead.

I am proud of the woman I am becoming.

I am proud of every time I chose to keep going when giving up would have been easier.

I am proud of every little step, every lesson, every sacrifice, every prayer and every dream that refused to die.

And today, I give myself permission to celebrate **me**.

Not because everything is perfect, but because I am still here.

God has been faithful.

He has carried me through seasons I thought would break me. He has given me strength when I didn't have any left. He has surrounded me with people who genuinely love me, and He continues to give me reasons to hope.

So, on this birthday, my prayer is simple:

**Lord, thank You for bringing me this far.**

Thank You for every chapter—the beautiful ones and even the difficult ones—because each one has shaped the woman I am today.

As I step into another year, may I have the wisdom to recognize what is for me, the courage to walk away from what isn't, the strength to build what I have prayed for, and the grace to become everything You created me to be.

May this new chapter bring me peace that doesn't depend on circumstances, joy that doesn't need an explanation, genuine relationships, financial growth, good health, fulfilled dreams and countless reasons to say, **“God, You did it again.”**

And when I look back at this birthday years from now, may I be able to say that this was the beginning of one of the most beautiful chapters of my life.

To everyone who celebrated our precious Ariel on her birthday, I honestly don’t know if the words “thank you” are enough to express how deeply grateful I am. ❤️

From the beautiful birthday messages, prayers, calls, gifts, posts, comments, and every single person who took a moment out of their day to celebrate her—I saw it, I felt it, and I am truly grateful.

Ariel’s birthday is more than just a celebration of another year. For me, it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness. There was a time I had tears where I now have laughter, a time I prayed for what I now hold in my arms. And seeing so many people celebrate this precious child with us reminded me once again of just how intentional and faithful God has been.
