EPISODE 12 — PLATFORM 4

The words echoed in Aaliyah's mind.

“That's where I last saw your father.”

Platform 4.

She stared at Zayd.

“You were there?”

Zayd nodded slowly.

“When?”

“Twenty-five years ago.”

Aaliyah's heart raced.

“You were there when my father disappeared?”

“Yes.”

“Then why have you never told me?”

Zayd looked away.

“Because I was only a child.”

Aaliyah frowned.

“You remember?”

“I remember enough.”

He paused.

“I remember my father arguing with Yusuf.”

Aaliyah's eyes widened.

“Arguing about what?”

Zayd shook his head.

“I never heard everything.”

“Then what did you hear?”

Zayd took a deep breath.

“I heard your father's name.”

Aaliyah waited.

“And I heard my father say…”

He stopped.

“What?”

Zayd looked at her.

“She must never know.”

Aaliyah's heart sank.

“She?”

Zayd remained silent.

“Who was he talking about?”

“I don't know.”

Aaliyah looked down at the old envelope.

Then she remembered the photograph.

The photograph of her father, Zayd's father and the little girl.

She slowly pulled it out.

“This girl…”

Zayd looked at the photograph.

His expression changed immediately.

“Aaliyah…”

“You know her.”

He didn't answer.

“You know who she is.”

Zayd finally nodded.

“Yes.”

“Who?”

Before he could respond, his phone rang.

He looked at the screen.

His face became serious.

“Who is it?” Aaliyah asked.

Zayd didn't answer.

The phone stopped ringing.

A few seconds later, a message appeared.

Zayd read it.

Then slowly looked at Aaliyah.

“What happened?” she asked.

He handed her the phone.

There was only one sentence:

“Stop looking for Yusuf, or you'll lose Aaliyah too.”

Aaliyah's hands began to tremble.

Someone knew exactly what they were doing.

Someone knew where they were.

Someone was watching them.

Zayd immediately took the phone back.

“We're leaving.”

Aaliyah shook her head.

“No.”

“Aaliyah—”

“No, Zayd.”

She looked directly into his eyes.

“I'm tired of running from secrets.”

She held up the photograph.

“I want to know who this girl is.”

Zayd stared at her.

Then quietly said:

“Her name is Sara.”

Aaliyah froze.

“Who is Sara?”

Zayd's voice dropped to a whisper.

“Your father's daughter.”

EPISODE 11 — THE WARNING

The door opened slowly.

Aaliyah held her breath.

Zayd stood directly in front of her.

The stranger stepped into the room.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Then the man looked at Aaliyah.

His eyes immediately dropped to the envelope in her hands.

“So,” he said quietly. “You found it.”

Aaliyah tightened her grip.

“Who are you?”

The man didn't answer.

Instead, he looked at Zayd.

“You should have stayed away from this.”

Zayd's expression hardened.

“You don't get to tell me what to do.”

The man gave a faint, almost bitter smile.

“Your father once said the same thing.”

Aaliyah looked at Zayd.

“Your father knew him?”

Zayd didn't answer.

The stranger stepped closer.

“Yusuf trusted the wrong people.”

Aaliyah's voice trembled.

“My father trusted you?”

“No.”

The man paused.

“Your father never trusted me.”

Silence filled the room.

Aaliyah stared at him.

“Then why are you here?”

The man's expression became serious.

“Because he left something behind that could destroy several lives.”

Aaliyah's heart sank.

“What did he leave?”

The man looked at the envelope.

“That letter isn't the only thing.”

Before Aaliyah could respond, Zayd stepped forward.

“Enough.”

The man looked at him.

“You still haven't told her what happened that night.”

Zayd's face changed.

Aaliyah noticed immediately.

“What night?”

Neither man answered.

“Zayd,” she said softly.

He looked at her.

“I promised your father.”

“You promised him what?”

“That I would protect you.”

Aaliyah shook her head.

“I don't need protection anymore. I need the truth.”

Zayd lowered his eyes.

The stranger suddenly laughed quietly.

“Then tell her.”

Zayd looked at him.

“Leave.”

The stranger turned toward the door.

But before leaving, he looked at Aaliyah one last time.

“Your father didn't disappear.”

Aaliyah froze.

“What?”

The man opened the door.

“He was taken.”

Her eyes widened.

“Taken by who?”

The man looked at Zayd.

And then he said:

“Ask him.”

The door slammed shut.

Aaliyah slowly turned toward Zayd.

Her voice was barely a whisper.

“Is that true?”

Zayd said nothing.

“Zayd…”

He finally looked at her.

“Yes.”

Aaliyah's eyes filled with tears.

“You knew?”

“I knew something happened.”

“And you never told me?”

“I was trying to find out the truth myself.”

Aaliyah looked down at the envelope.

Then she noticed something she hadn't seen before.

A small inscription was written beneath her father's name.

“Birmingham Central Station — Platform 4.”

She looked at Zayd.

“What happened at Platform 4?”

Zayd's face went pale.

He whispered:

“That's where I last saw your father.”

A little song from a little corner of my heart. ❤️🎶

I wrote it. I sang it. I lived every word.

Sometimes, there are feelings we cannot fully explain with ordinary words. Feelings that stay quietly in our hearts, memories that we carry without saying much, and moments that somehow become too deep to put into a simple conversation. Sometimes, music becomes the only way to let those feelings breathe. 🎶❤️

This song is one of those moments for me. It may just be a song to someone listening, but to me, it carries a little piece of my emotions, my thoughts, and a part of my story.

I honestly don't even remember the exact moment I created it, but listening to it again brought back that feeling. 🥹❤️ It reminded me that sometimes we create things without realizing how much meaning they may hold for us later.

I wrote the words from my heart, I gave them my voice, and I allowed myself to feel every single line.

Maybe you will hear it and simply enjoy the melody. Maybe a particular line will remind you of someone, a memory, a season of your life, or a feeling you once had. And maybe, just maybe, it will speak to your heart in a way I cannot explain.

Whatever you feel while listening, I hope you receive it gently.

This is not just me sharing a song.
It is me sharing a little piece of my heart with you. ❤️🎶

Thank you for listening. 🤍

EPISODE 10 — THE MAN IN THE CAR

The car door slammed outside.

Aaliyah froze.

Zayd immediately turned toward the window.

“Stay here,” he whispered.

The mysterious man quickly shook his head.

“No. We don't have time.”

He took the old envelope from Aaliyah's hands and pressed it back into her palms.

“Keep this hidden.”

Aaliyah held it tightly.

“Who is outside?”

The man didn't answer.

Another car door opened.

Then came the sound of footsteps.

Slow.

Calm.

Coming toward the house.

Zayd moved closer to the window and carefully looked through the curtain.

His expression suddenly changed.

Aaliyah noticed.

“Who is it?”

Zayd remained silent.

“Zayd?”

He finally turned toward her.

“It's someone I know.”

The older man looked at him.

“Then you know why you need to leave.”

Suddenly, someone knocked on the front door.

Three slow knocks.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

Aaliyah's heart raced.

The man whispered, “There is a back entrance.”

Zayd looked at Aaliyah.

“Come with me.”

They hurried toward the back of the house.

But before they reached the door—

The front door opened.

Someone had a key.

Aaliyah stopped.

“Someone has a key…”

Zayd's eyes met hers.

“Which means they knew we would come.”

They quietly moved into a small room at the back of the house.

The older man locked the door behind them.

Through a narrow gap, Aaliyah saw a man enter the house.

She couldn't see his face.

Then he spoke.

And the sound of his voice made the older man's expression change.

“I know you're here.”

Zayd looked at Aaliyah.

The stranger continued walking through the house.

“Yusuf's daughter…”

Aaliyah's eyes widened.

“He knows me,” she whispered.

The man outside continued.

“Your father kept something from me for twenty-five years.”

He paused.

“And now his daughter has come to collect it.”

Aaliyah looked down at the envelope in her hands.

Her father's handwriting suddenly seemed heavier than before.

“What is he talking about?” she whispered.

The older man looked at her.

“Your father left something behind.”

Aaliyah swallowed.

“What?”

The man hesitated.

Then he said quietly:

“Proof.”

“Proof of what?”

Before he could answer, the door handle began to turn.

Zayd stepped in front of Aaliyah.

The older man whispered:

“Whatever happens, don't let him see that envelope.”

The door began to open.

And Aaliyah suddenly noticed something written on the back of the envelope.

Four words.

In her father's handwriting:

“Trust Zayd. Not him.”

Aaliyah looked at Zayd.

Then the door opened.

Episode 9 — The Stranger Upstairs

The whisper came again.

“You shouldn't have come here.”

Aaliyah froze.

Her fingers tightened around the old photograph.

Zayd immediately stepped in front of her, his eyes fixed on the dark staircase.

“Who are you?” he asked calmly.

There was no answer.

Only the sound of slow footsteps coming from upstairs.

One step.

Then another.

Aaliyah's heart pounded.

“Zayd…” she whispered.

“I’m here,” he replied quietly.

The footsteps stopped.

For a few seconds, the entire house was silent.

Then a man slowly appeared at the top of the staircase.

He was older, dressed in a dark coat, his face partly hidden by the dim light.

Aaliyah stared at him.

Something about his face felt strangely familiar.

The man looked directly at the photograph in her hands.

His expression changed.

“You found it,” he said.

Aaliyah swallowed.

“Found what?”

The man slowly walked down the stairs.

Zayd didn't move.

“You need to leave,” the man said.

Zayd's voice became firmer.

“Not until we get some answers.”

The man looked at Zayd.

“You promised your father you would never come back here.”

Zayd went completely still.

Aaliyah looked at him.

“Your father?”

The man sighed.

“Your father knew this day would come, Aaliyah.”

Her eyes widened.

“You know my father?”

The man looked at her for a long moment.

“I knew Yusuf very well.”

Aaliyah stepped forward.

“Then tell me where he is.”

The man looked away.

“I can't.”

“Why?”

“Because if I tell you everything now…”

He paused.

“…you may not be safe.”

Aaliyah's voice trembled.

“I've spent years wondering why my father disappeared. I deserve the truth.”

The man looked at Zayd.

Then back at Aaliyah.

“Your father didn't disappear because he wanted to leave you.”

Aaliyah's breath caught.

“What do you mean?”

The man reached inside his coat and pulled out a small, worn envelope.

He held it out.

“This belonged to Yusuf.”

Aaliyah stared at it.

There was handwriting on the front.

Her father's handwriting.

But before she could take it, the man suddenly looked toward the window.

His expression changed.

“We have to go.”

Zayd frowned.

“Why?”

The man whispered:

“Because someone else knows you're here.”

Aaliyah's heart sank.

“Who?”

The man looked directly into her eyes.

“Your father's enemy.”

The lights in the house suddenly went out.

And somewhere outside…

A car door slammed.

Episode 7 — At the Door

Three quiet knocks echoed through the house.

Aaliyah stared at the door.

Her father's letter was still in her hand.

And one name was still burning in her mind.

Zayd Hassan.

Her mother quickly wiped the tears from her face.

“Don't open it,” she whispered.

Aaliyah looked at her.

“Why?”

Her mother didn't answer.

Another knock.

This time, Aaliyah heard his voice.

“Aaliyah?”

It was calm.

Familiar.

But after what she had just discovered, it sounded completely different.

She folded the letter carefully and held it against her chest.

“I need to speak to him.”

Her mother grabbed her hand.

“Aaliyah, please.”

“Why are you afraid of him?”

Her mother went silent.

That silence was enough.

Aaliyah slowly walked toward the door.

She hesitated for a moment before opening it.

Zayd stood outside.

He was dressed simply, his expression serious.

For a few seconds, neither of them spoke.

His eyes moved from Aaliyah's face to the letter in her hand.

Something changed in his expression.

“You found it.”

Aaliyah's heart dropped.

“You knew about this?”

Zayd didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he looked past her toward her mother.

Her mother lowered her eyes.

Aaliyah stepped outside and quietly closed the door behind her.

“Tell me the truth, Zayd.”

He looked at her.

“About my father.”

Zayd took a slow breath.

“I promised him I wouldn't tell you until the right time.”

“And who decided when the right time was?”

“You did.”

Aaliyah frowned.

“What does that mean?”

Zayd reached into the pocket of his coat.

He pulled out a small old key.

Aaliyah stared at it.

“What is that?”

“Something your father left behind.”

Her heart began pounding again.

“Where?”

Zayd looked directly into her eyes.

“Somewhere in Birmingham.”

Aaliyah's voice trembled.

“Why didn't you tell me before?”

“Because if I had told you everything before you were ready…”

He paused.

“You might have walked away.”

“From what?”

Zayd's expression softened.

“From the truth.”

Aaliyah looked down at the key.

Then back at him.

“What does it open?”

Zayd didn't answer.

Instead, he said quietly:

“Tomorrow, I'll take you there.”

Aaliyah stared at him.

“To where?”

Zayd looked toward the dark Birmingham street.

“Your father's last known home.”

Episode 6 — The Letter

Aaliyah couldn't move.

Her mother's words echoed in her mind.

“Your father left something for you.”

A letter.

A letter written by the man she had spent years wondering about.

Her father.

“Where is it?” Aaliyah asked quietly.

Her mother looked toward the hallway.

“Wait here.”

She disappeared into her bedroom.

Aaliyah remained standing in the living room, her heart pounding.

A few minutes later, her mother returned holding a small cream-colored envelope.

It looked old.

The edges were worn, and Aaliyah noticed something written across the front.

Her name.

Aaliyah.

Her fingers trembled as she took it.

“You kept this all these years?”

Her mother nodded.

“Your father gave it to me before he left.”

Aaliyah stared at her.

“Then why didn't you give it to me?”

Her mother's eyes filled with tears.

“Because he told me not to.”

Aaliyah's brows tightened.

“Why?”

“He said you should only read it when you were old enough to understand.”

Aaliyah looked down at the envelope.

She was twenty-four now.

Surely, this was the moment he had meant.

Slowly, she opened it.

Inside was a single sheet of paper.

Her eyes immediately recognized the handwriting.

Her father's handwriting.

She began to read.

My dearest Aaliyah,

Her vision blurred with tears.

If you're reading this, then I'm no longer there to explain everything myself.

Aaliyah covered her mouth.

Her mother quietly turned away.

She continued.

There are things about my disappearance that your mother may never be able to tell you. Not because she doesn't love you, but because she promised to protect you.

Aaliyah's hands began to shake.

Then she reached the next line.

But there is one person I trusted with the truth.

She stopped.

Her heart pounded.

She read the name.

Zayd Hassan.

Aaliyah's eyes widened.

She dropped the letter onto the table.

“No…”

Her mother closed her eyes.

Aaliyah looked at her.

“Why would my father trust Zayd?”

Her mother didn't answer.

Aaliyah picked up the letter again.

There was one final paragraph.

She read it slowly.

When the time comes, don't judge Zayd by what you hear about him. Ask him what happened that night. He knows the truth.

Aaliyah froze.

What night?

She looked at her mother.

“Mum…”

Her mother was crying now.

“What happened that night?”

Before her mother could answer, there was a knock at the front door.

Three quiet knocks.

Aaliyah turned toward it.

Her mother suddenly looked terrified.

Then came a familiar voice from outside.

“Aaliyah?”

Her heart stopped.

It was Zayd.

Episode 5 — The Man Behind the Secret

Aaliyah stared at the letter in her trembling hands.

She had read it three times.

Yet somehow, the words still refused to make sense.

Birmingham General Hospital.
2001.
Yusuf Rahman.

Her father's name.

Her mother's silence.

And now… Zayd.

For years, Aaliyah had believed her father had simply disappeared from their lives because of circumstances she was too young to understand.

But the letter had changed everything.

She slowly looked up at her mother.

“Mum…”

Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Her mother didn't answer.

Instead, she lowered her gaze.

That silence frightened Aaliyah more than any explanation could have.

“You knew,” Aaliyah said.

Her mother's eyes filled with tears.

“I knew something,” she finally whispered.

Aaliyah's heart sank.

“What does Zayd have to do with my father?”

Her mother looked toward the photograph lying on the table.

The same photograph Aaliyah had been staring at since the day the proposal arrived.

Zayd Hassan.

Aaliyah had thought the photograph was simply the picture of a man her family wanted her to consider marrying.

She had been wrong.

Her mother reached for the photograph with trembling fingers.

“Your father knew Zayd's father.”

Aaliyah froze.

“What?”

“They were close once.”

Aaliyah's mind raced.

“Then why didn't anyone tell me?”

Her mother swallowed hard.

“Because some things are easier to hide than to explain.”

Aaliyah stood up.

“No, Mum. Not anymore.”

Her voice shook, but this time, she didn't back down.

“I deserve to know what happened to my father.”

Her mother looked at her daughter for a long moment.

Then she whispered the words that made Aaliyah's entire world stand still.

“Zayd didn't come into your life because of the marriage proposal.”

Aaliyah's breathing stopped.

“Then why?”

Her mother slowly looked at her.

“Because your father asked him to.”

Aaliyah stared at her in disbelief.

“My father?”

Her mother nodded.

“He left something for you.”

Aaliyah's eyes widened.

“What did he leave?”

Her mother's lips trembled.

“A letter.”

She paused.

“But I was never supposed to give it to you…”

Aaliyah's heart pounded.

“Why?”

Her mother looked toward the closed door.

And for the first time, fear appeared clearly in her eyes.

“Because the letter tells you the truth about why your father disappeared.”
