MY EVENING LESSON
TOPIC: BREAK FREE FROM YESTERDAY AND STOP FEARING TOMORROW

You cannot see tomorrow clearly while your eyes are still filled with the tears of yesterday. The past can explain you, but it must never imprison you; the future can inspire you, but it must never terrify you. Too many people are physically present but emotionally trapped, one foot buried in an old wound and the other trembling before an imagined disaster. They keep reliving conversations that are over, mourning opportunities that have passed, regretting decisions that cannot be rewritten, and rehearsing catastrophes that have not happened. But listen carefully: yesterday has no hands to hold you, and tomorrow has no power to hurt you today. What you have is this moment. This breath. This opportunity. This day. Stop punishing your present for the sins of your past. Stop allowing what happened to you to dictate what must happen next. You are not required to carry every disappointment into every new season. Some chapters must end without explanations, some wounds must heal without apologies, and some doors must remain closed without becoming monuments to your failure. Take the blindfold off, look around. You are here, you survived what you thought would destroy you, and you are still becoming. There is still life in you, purpose before you, and grace available to you now.

Therefore, if you want peace, stop living in places where your body is no longer present. Release the memory that keeps reopening the wound, and surrender the future you keep trying to control. Fear is borrowing trouble from tomorrow, while resentment keeps collecting rent from yesterday. Neither deserves permanent residence in your mind. Happiness does not require a perfect past or a guaranteed future; it requires the courage to inhabit the present with gratitude, faith, discipline, and awareness. Do what today demands. Love the people who are here. Build what you can build now. Pray the prayer you can pray now. Take the step you can take now. Forgive what you can release now. Your life is not waiting somewhere in the future, it is happening right here. You do not need to know everything that tomorrow will bring; you only need enough faith to meet it when it arrives. And when the past calls, let it go to voicemail. When the future threatens you with possibilities, answer with faith. Yesterday is a lesson, not a life sentence; tomorrow is a possibility, not a prophecy; but today is your territory. Stand in it, breathe in it, live fully in it, because peace begins the moment you stop fighting ghosts and stop fearing shadows, and finally realize that this moment is not your waiting room; this moment is your life.

Humbly yours,

THINK YOU’RE DESPERATE? WAIT UNTIL YOU ACCEPT HELP FROM HELL

📖 Proverbs 23:6–8

“Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats… The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.”

Desperation can make the wrong person look like a saviour.

When you are hungry, homeless, indebted or overwhelmed, almost any helping hand can appear heaven-sent. But some help does not come from a genuine heart. It comes from carnal people with hidden agendas—people who see your vulnerability as an opportunity to control you, use you or prove their importance.

Their bread may satisfy today’s hunger, but tomorrow you may discover that you ate from the table of manipulation.

After Abraham defeated the kings and recovered the captured people and possessions, the king of S***m offered him the recovered goods. Abraham refused, saying:

“I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet… lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich.”
—Genesis 14:23

Abraham was already wealthy. Yet he would rather refuse further enrichment than allow a corrupt and proud man to attach his name to Abraham’s prosperity.

He understood that some gifts come with a future speech:

“Without me, you would be nothing.”
“I am the one who made you.”
“After everything I did for you, this is how you repay me?”

That is when help becomes hell.

The person who rescued you from one problem becomes the source of ten more. They invade your boundaries, manipulate your decisions, blackmail you with their generosity and demand more than you ever agreed to give.

You escaped the frying pan—only to land in the fire.

Rather remain in your small house eating vegetables in peace than accept help that upgrades you to a house of daily feasting filled with shame, fear and regret.

“Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.”
—Proverbs 15:17

Never let desperation choose your helper for you.

Rely on genuine-hearted people, not carnal people with ambitions to take advantage of you. Receive only what is legally and morally due to you. Avoid secret arrangements, undefined favours and grey areas that can later be twisted to your hurt or downfall.

You may think you cannot survive without them. But temporary hardship with dignity is better than comfortable living under someone else’s control.

The wrong person will make you regret the day you accepted their help.

Think you are desperate now? Wait until you accept help from hell.
