Dear PCOS warriors,
PCOS is not your fault!

I've seen women blame themselves for their PCOS.
“Maybe I ate too much sugar.”
“Maybe I wasn't exercising enough.”
“Maybe I caused this and that.”
Please stop blaming yourself.

The exact cause of PCOS isn't completely understood. Genetic and metabolic factors, including insulin resistance, are some of the factors causing it.

Yes, nutrition, physical activity, sleep and other lifestyle factors can be important parts of managing PCOS.

But that is very different from saying:
“You caused your PCOS.”

You didn't fail because you have PCOS.
Your body isn't broken.
And you don't need to punish yourself to manage it.

Don’t lose hope yet🙏🏼

There is no single magical PCOS diet!

Everywhere you look:

Don't eat this!
Never eat carbs!
Eat only these fruits!
Do this detox!
Follow this hormone diet!
Ije uwa🤦🏼‍♀️

It can become really overwhelming.
The truth is that there isn't one specific diet that has been proven to be the best diet for every woman with PCOS.

What matters more is building a sustainable, nutritious eating pattern that works for your body, your preferences, your culture and your lifestyle.

Think of
Vegetables
Fruits
Whole grains
Quality protein
Nuts and seeds
Healthy fats
Adequate hydration.

You can still enjoy foods you love but hope no be processed foods??😒

Healthy eating doesn't have to mean eating boring food forever.

Find a pattern you can actually maintain.

Having PCOS does NOT automatically mean you are infertile.

Let's talk about this because the word “PCOS” can be terrifying when you're hoping to have children😒

PCOS can affect ovulation, and irregular or absent ovulation can make conception more difficult for some women.

But PCOS does not mean you can never get pregnant.
Many women with PCOS conceive naturally, while others may need medical support to help them ovulate or improve their chances of conception.

So please don't let a diagnosis convince you that motherhood is impossible.

And if you're trying to conceive and your periods are irregular, don't wait indefinitely before seeking for medical advice.

There are treatments available.

PCOS — Polycystic O***y Syndrome is a common hormonal and metabolic condition that affects women of reproductive age.

It can be associated with irregular or absent periods, difficulty getting pregnant, acne, excess facial/body hair, and weight changes.

The exact cause isn't fully understood, but genetic factors and insulin resistance are major contributors.

PCOS often begins around adolescence, sometimes becoming noticeable around puberty or after the first few menstrual cycles. However, it can also be diagnosed later in life.

And one important thing to remember: PCOS doesn't look the same in every woman.
You can have PCOS and be slim, overweight, or somewhere in between.

It’s PCOS awareness month 🙌🏼

Why are you not eating oatmeal as part of your dietary approach to help reduce LDL?

Oatmeal’s secret weapon is a type of soluble fiber called beta-glucan. When you eat oats, beta-glucan forms a gel-like substance in your digestive tract.

This gel helps trap bile acids and carries them out of the body before they can be reabsorbed. Your liver then needs to use cholesterol from your blood to make more bile acids, which can help reduce LDL bad cholesterol levels

So, if you're working on improving your cholesterol levels, a bowl of oats can be a simple and delicious addition to your diet.

Guo wanted to stain my white 🤦🏼‍♀️

My customer ordered for seeds and nuts last week and I took it to GUO on Tuesday to be delivered.
Normally it takes them, a day or two before it arrives Lagos but no this particular order stayed more than that.

He chatted me on Saturday that he has not received it, I had to track it for him on their portal and it showed that his order has arrived since Thursday, I told him to go and pick up with his 🆔.

When he reached there, they asked if he received any message before coming, he said no but the portal showed that it has arrived. They told him to go back and expect a message before he can come pick up.

Honestly, I’ve not seen or heard of it before. Portal shows that it has arrived and sorted out but the agents there are saying otherwise. I had to calm him down because he was really upset having come from a long distance to pick up.

Well, he picked up today and they told him that his order actually arrived yesterday 😒

He’s a first time customer and I’m grateful he was patient enough to wait for his order.

Imagine losing a first timer over something that had absolutely nothing to do with me.

Thank you dearest customer 🙏🏼
