Three Chinese nationals and several Nigerian miners were arrested during a security operation targeting alleged illegal mining activities in Amba Community, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The raid was led by the state's Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Akabe, following repeated intelligence reports that mining activities were continuing at the site despite a government suspension order on operations in the area.

Security operatives recovered suspected mineral resources, CCTV cameras, and other equipment believed to have been used in the illegal mining operation.

Authorities have emphasized that all mining sites under litigation remain closed until due process is completed, and investigations are ongoing into the activities of the foreign nationals, who were allegedly operating without proper documentation.
