Sometimes, we look at other people and wish our lives were like theirs. We see their smiles, achievements, marriages, businesses, families, appearance, or the way they seem to have everything together, and we think, “I wish I was like this person.”

But the truth is, everybody is fighting a battle. Some battles are visible, while others are hidden so deeply that only God knows about them.

Someone you admire may be praying for the very peace you take for granted. Someone you think has it all together may be crying behind closed doors. Someone whose life looks perfect from the outside may be asking God for strength just to make it through another day.

So please, don’t make another person your standard.

Admire people. Learn from people. Celebrate other people. But don’t lose yourself trying to become someone else.

Your only competition should be the person you were yesterday. Strive to grow, to heal, to become wiser, stronger and better than you used to be.

And remember, what God has given you may not look like what He gave someone else, but He knows your capacity, your journey and your strength.

You may not understand everything you are carrying right now, but keep trusting God. What He allows you to face, He will also give you the grace and strength to overcome.

So be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Keep growing.

You don’t need to be like anybody. Be the best version of YOU that God is helping you become. ❤️

Grief has no timeline.

It’s okay to grieve differently. It’s okay to take the time you need.

We live in a part of the world where mental health is still not given the attention it deserves, and sometimes people expect you to be okay simply because, in their eyes, “enough time has passed.”

But you walked the path.
You experienced what happened.
You know how you feel.

People can empathize. They can imagine what you might be feeling. They can even say, “I know how you feel.” But the truth is, nobody can completely know what another person carries inside.

So stop trying so hard to explain yourself.

How you look right now, how you feel right now, how you behave, or how long it takes you to feel like yourself again this is your journey.

They say time heals all wounds, but honestly, who can tell exactly how long healing will take?

Grief doesn't follow a calendar.

Take the time you need. Cry when you need to. Rest when you need to. Be quiet when you need to. And when you have the strength, allow the people who genuinely love you to be there for you.

Just don't completely close yourself off from the world.

And through it all, never forget that God loves you. ❤️

Don't let people's opinions define your healing. You don't have to look okay just to make other people comfortable.

You are allowed to heal at your own pace.

Your grief is yours.
Your healing is yours.
And you don't owe anyone an explanation for either.
