About Us
"George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd was launched in 1st July 2012 changing its name from George Steuart (Agencies) Ltd to George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. Today, with improved marketing techniques and given the increased activity of the existing agencies, George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. has been able to improve turnover substantially from year-to-year and has achieved a strong standing in the marketplace. The Company now markets over 117 pharmaceutical products in 175 recognized formulations, and over 15 other category products including Diagnostic, eye care and surgical devises. Pharmaceutical sales represent approximately 90% of the total turnover. The Company markets specialized products using highly-skilled promotional and distribution teams. In a competitive and dynamic market, George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. has done well within a relatively short time-span to be within the top five pharmaceutical distributors in this country. The Company has also established 3 pharmaceutical retail sales outlets named Steuart Remedica in Ratmalana, Galle and Steuart Centre at Karapitiya, Galle, which apart from being a retail pharmaceutical outlet also offers specialist consultations, diagnostic laboratory facilities, eye care and a host of other medical services. A modern office-cum-stores complex was completed in Mount Lavinia and the operational base of George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. moved to this location in May 2001.
