ශ්රී ලංකාවේ උඩරට ඔසරියට ඉන්දියානු විලාසිතා එකතු වීමට ප්රධාන වශයෙන් බලපෑවේ දකුණු ඉන්දියාවේ නායක්කාර් රාජවංශයයි. 17 හා 18 වන සියවස්වල නායක්කාර් රජවරු උඩරට රාජධානිය පාලනය කළ අතර, ඔවුන් සමඟ දකුණු ඉන්දියාවේ සිට රැජිනියන්, රාජකීය පවුල්වල සාමාජිකයන්, ශිල්පීන් සහ වියන්නන් ශ්රී ලංකාවට පැමිණියහ. ඔවුන්ගේ ඇඳුම් පැළඳුම් විලාසිතා, සේද රෙදි භාවිතය, රන් හා රිදී බෝඩර් සහිත රෙදි, මල් හා වැල් මෝස්තර සහිත සැලසුම් සහ සාරිය ඇඳීමේ විශේෂ ක්රම මෙරටට හඳුන්වා දෙන ලදී. එම ඉන්දියානු විලාසිතා ශ්රී ලංකාවේ දේශීය ඇඳුම් සම්ප්රදායන් සමඟ ඒකාබද්ධ වී, කාලයත් සමඟ වෙනස්කම්වලට ලක්ව අද දක්වා පවතින උඩරට ඔසරිය ලෙස විකාශනය විය. 18 වන සියවසේ උඩරට සිටි නායක්කාර් වංශික බිසවකගේ රූ සොබාව මෙමගින් නිරූපණය වේ...
