Initial Set

“Your lash set doesn’t stay exactly the same forever 👀”

A full set is attached to your natural lashes, and because your natural lashes constantly grow, shed and renew, some extensions will naturally fall out over time.

This is why lash infills are important. ✨

Retention After 3 Weeks

“3 weeks later… this is why you need an infill.”

After 2–3 weeks, you’ll naturally have a mixture of:

* Mature natural lashes with extensions
* New lashes growing in
* Areas where extensions have shed

An infill restores the fullness and keeps your set looking clean, balanced and fresh.

Overgrown Lashes

Your extensions don’t actually grow. Your natural lashes do. As your natural lash grows, it carries the extension further away from your lash line — that’s what we call an overgrown lash

Before adding new lashes, we remove the grown-out ones.
I prefer the banana peel method

As your natural lash grows, the extension moves further away from the lash line.

These grown-out extensions need to be removed rather than simply leaving them in or placing another extension on top.

This helps maintain proper lash health and a neat finish. ✨

During an infill, your lash artist may need to carefully separate different layers of natural lashes to access the new growth underneath.

Good isolation = clean application + better retention + healthier natural lashes.

After removing grown-out extensions and filling the new growth, the set is brought back to its original fullness and shape.

A good infill should look like a fresh set—not like an obvious refill.

Pro tip: Don’t wait until most of your extensions have fallen out. Regular infills every 2–3 weeks help maintain your look.

* Helps you work for longer – Good ergonomics reduces physical fatigue, allowing you to maintain your technique throughout the day.
* Protects your eyes – Sitting at the correct height and keeping the client positioned properly means you don’t have to constantly lean forward or strain your eyes to see the lashes.
* Improves breathing and circulation – Sitting upright allows your chest to expand properly and can help you feel less compressed and fatigued.
* Creates better work consistency – When your body is properly supported, your hand movements are more controlled, which can contribute to cleaner lash sets.
* Reduces the risk of long-term injuries – Repeated poor posture over months or years can contribute to chronic musculoskeletal problems.
* Makes you look more professional – Good posture and an organized workstation create a more confident and professional appearance for clients.

✨ Lash artist tip: Your client should be positioned at a comfortable working height, your feet should be supported, your back should be straight, shoulders relaxed, and your elbows kept close to your body—not floating in the air.
