KEEP GETTING VAGINAL INFECTIONS? CHECK YOUR BLOOD SUGAR.
Ladies, if vaginal infections keep coming back, don't only think about hygiene or medication.
High blood sugar can increase the risk of certain vaginal infections, including yeast infections.
This doesn't mean every recurrent infection is caused by diabetes.
But if you're experiencing repeated infections, especially alongside symptoms such as increased thirst or frequent urination, it's worth discussing your symptoms with a healthcare professional and considering appropriate blood-sugar testing.
Don't keep treating the same problem without understanding why it keeps returning.
Know your body. Check your health.

4 PERIOD CHANGES YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE
Ladies, pay attention to these changes:
1. Extremely heavy bleeding
2. Severe period pain
3. Periods becoming consistently irregular
4. Your periods suddenly stopping when you're not pregnant
These changes can have different causes, including hormonal changes and conditions such as fibroids, PCOS or endometriosis.
Don't panic. Don't self-diagnose.
Just don't ignore persistent changes either.
Know your normal. Notice what changes. Get the right assessment.

DIABETES DOESN’T ONLY AFFECT YOUR BLOOD SUGAR
Ladies, did you know that diabetes can also affect your reproductive health?
High blood sugar can affect the body in several ways, including hormones, blood vessels and nerves. For some women, diabetes can also be associated with menstrual changes, s*xual health problems, vaginal infections and fertility challenges.
This is why women's health should not be viewed in separate pieces.
Your blood sugar, hormones, reproductive health and overall wellbeing can all be connected.
If you have diabetes or are experiencing unusual changes in your menstrual cycle, fertility, s*xual health or recurrent infections, don't simply ignore them.
Understand your body. Check your health. Seek appropriate medical advice when

Don’t Ignore Recurrent Infections
Recurrent reproductive or urinary infections can be frustrating, but repeatedly treating symptoms without understanding the cause may not solve the underlying problem.
For women, recurring symptoms may include unusual discharge, itching, burning during urination, pelvic discomfort or pain during s*x.
For men, symptoms may include burning during urination, unusual discharge, ge***al discomfort or recurring urinary symptoms.
Different conditions can cause similar symptoms, so proper medical assessment is important.

UTIs: Why They Keep Coming Back
đź”´ Recurring UTIs Should Not Be Ignored
A urinary tract infection may cause symptoms such as:
• Burning or pain when urinating
• Frequent urge to urinate
• Lower abdominal discomfort
• Cloudy or strong-smelling urine
• Sometimes blood in the urine
If these infections keep coming back, it's important to seek medical assessment rather than repeatedly treating yourself without knowing the cause.
For women and men, recurrent urinary symptoms can sometimes have different underlying causes.
👉 Don't just keep treating the symptoms. Find out what's the cause
Have you ever experienced a UTI that kept coming back?

Many people assume fertility concerns are mainly a women’s issue. They are not.
A man may consider a fertility assessment when:
• A couple has been trying to conceive without success
• There are concerns about s***m health
• There have been previous reproductive or testicular problems
• There are persistent changes affecting s*xual or reproductive function
Fertility is a couples’ health matter, and when conception is difficult, both partners may need appropriate assessment.
❤️ Men’s reproductive health deserves attention too.
Have you ever wondered what a fertility assessment for men involves? Let us know in the comments.

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IS FOR BOTH MEN & WOMEN
When it comes to reproductive health, the conversation should involve both partners.
Women may experience issues such as fibroids, cysts, hormonal changes, menstrual problems and fertility challenges.
Men can also experience reproductive health concerns involving fertility, s***m health, prostate health and s*xual health.
And when a couple is experiencing difficulty conceiving, both partners may need appropriate assessment rather than automatically assuming the problem is with the woman.
At AFYA BORA YA UZAZI, we believe in education, awareness and encouraging people to seek appropriate professional care when they have concerns.
Your reproductive health matters. Don't ignore persistent symptoms or concerns.

But difficulty conceiving does not automatically mean the dream is over. Fibroids, ovulation problems, irregular cycles, hormonal changes and male fertility factors can all play a role.
Don't just keep trying blindly. Understand what may be affecting your fertility.
