This photo breaks my heart in ways I cannot fully describe.
Over the weekend, my husband was attacked and seriously injured by political goons. What makes the pain even deeper is not just the violence itself, but the faces behind it. These were not strangers. These were our immediate neighbours. Young men we have known for years. Young men who have sat at our table, shared meals with us, worshipped alongside us, and whom we have supported whenever we could. Some of them have done small jobs for our family. We have laughed together, celebrated together, and lived as one community.
Today, as I look at these wounds, I cannot help but ask: how did we get here?
How did politics become so poisonous that it turns neighbours into enemies? How did a few coins, empty promises, and political manipulation convince young people to shed the blood of those they once called friends?
To the young men and women of our nation, I plead with you: do not allow yourselves to be used as weapons in another person's political ambitions. Politicians will hold rallies and make speeches, but when violence erupts, it is ordinary families who are left with the scars, the hospital bills, the trauma, and sometimes even the graves.
No political seat is worth a human life. No election is worth destroying relationships built over years. No politician is worth sacrificing your future, your freedom, or your conscience.
As we move closer to the next General Election, let us choose peace over violence, dialogue over intimidation, and unity over division. Let us reject leaders who thrive on chaos and openly call out those who sponsor unrest, hatred, and instability in our communities.
We must refuse to normalize political violence. We must teach our children that leadership is about service, not fear. We must remind one another that after elections, we remain neighbours. We remain friends. We remain one people.
My husband is recovering, and for that I thank God. But the emotional wounds left by betrayal will take much longer to heal.
Let this be a wake-up call to all of us. Kenya belongs to all of us, and its future should never be built on bloodshed, fear, and broken communities.
Choose peace. Choose humanity. Reject political violence.

The other day, I got really furious with one of the boys in my class and gave him five strokes. This little man never writes and always has a fresh excuse ready for why his work isn't done. I decided to go all in and inspect his entire collection of exercise books. 😂😂😂 The things I found there nearly gave me a new perspective on life.
To add to the five strokes, I also asked him to pick litter around the compound. The ten-year-old was clearly unimpressed and, after I left, reportedly announced that he would not be coming to school the following day. Now, before this incident, I had repeatedly asked him to bring his parent to school. He never did. I got his mother's number and called her myself. She promised to come, but never showed up. Every follow-up call went unanswered. Guidance and counselling sessions weren't yielding much either, so I decided to take the matter into my own hands.Well, let me tell you what happened next. The following morning, at exactly 6 a.m., the mother was at school. Not for the meeting I had been requesting for weeks of course. She arrived bubbling with rage and demanding that I personally take her son to the hospital. In the end, I found myself parting with Ksh 2,000 for treatment.
Now here's where I need help understanding things. My own children attend a private school where strokes are occasionally administered as part of discipline. They are being moulded, and I can honestly see the results. But when I attempt to mould someone else's child into a responsible citizen, suddenly an invoice must be generated and payment made. 😂Needless to say, the entire experience completely killed my morale. Nowadays, when I see an unfinished exercise book, I just stare at it and remember that discipline apparently comes with a hospital bill attached.

Funny how in politics, friendship start strong but always seem to end in drama. One disagreement and suddenly it’s a competition of who can expose the other more. If we once stood together, why not part ways with respect instead of turning it into chaos? By the end of the week this ones will have exposed each other well well 😂😂we will know even who slept with who 😁then who killed who🥲
