I recently had the pleasure of participating in the DWHSA Romance Travel University conference at Iberostar Rose Hall. Here’s how it went…
I spoke on a panel of local wedding vendors to the conference attendees of destination wedding planners. We got the opportunity to talk about what we do and how our services are unique. The conference included multiple sessions on promoting your wedding business. This was a major highlight!
I can’t begin to express how beneficial this session on AI was. If you ever get the chance to hear Kha Ly speak, take notes!!!!
Then it was time to set up for the evening reception, where all the local vendors had booths and the chance to share our business cards and talk one on one with the planners.

This was my favourite part, getting to chat with all the planners who came from across the US and Canada. We spoke about everything from my services to makeup tips.
I made a magazine showcasing my services and of course had to include photos from my most recent bridal shoot with Jamaica Bridal Hairstylist | Endorse Your Beauty and JAMAICAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
We did a lot of talking, plus some dancing and ended our part of the conference! Thank you DWHSA for having me!! 🫶🏽

Perfect example of how we as vendors step in to lend a helping hand. Melissa’s hair needed to be touched up so I grabbed an available flat iron and got to work. Completely unplanned. And the amazing Orlando Gabriel captured the moment for me and made sure my lens was clean 🫶🏽 thanks Joel!!
