Distilled from agarwood sourced from the green forests of Arunachal Pradesh, Kangtö is a remarkably crisp and clean interpretation of Indian oud.

A distillation built around the natural character of the wood — without soaking and without the heavy barnyard facets often found in non-resinous shavings. Kangtö has zero barnyard or off-putting notes, allowing the brighter aromatic qualities of the wood to shine.

OPENING — Crisp & Green
The first impression is fresh, sharp and aromatic. Fennel seed brings a dry, slightly sweet herbal spice, intertwined with the resinous freshness of pine needles and the distinctive nutty, green character of betel nut. There is an almost forest-like clarity to the opening.

HEART — Sweet, Bitter & Aromatic
As the oil develops, cacao nibs introduce a dark, slightly bitter chocolate facet. This is accompanied by a cool spearmint accord and a subtle caramelised sweetness, while green herbal nuances continue to run underneath, giving the heart an unusual contrast of cool freshness and dark gourmand warmth.

BASE — Incense, Camphor & Leather
The dry-down takes a darker turn. Smouldering incense becomes prominent, wrapped in a distinct camphoric coolness and the dry, slightly animalic texture of aged leather. Beneath it lies a deep woody character that gives the oil remarkable persistence and depth.

Kangtö is for the collector who wants something clean, unusual, highly wearable and distinctly Indian — an oud that doesn't rely on barnyard intensity to make an impression.

Imtizāj — meaning fusion, intermingling, the coming together of two distinct elements.

A name that perfectly captures the soul of this oud.

Imtizāj is a co-distillation of Assam and Nagaland agarwood, distilled together in 2024. This is not a post-distillation blend of two finished oils. The woods from both origins were brought together into the still, allowing their characters to intertwine through the distillation itself.

THE OLFACTIVE JOURNEY

Opening — Dark, Resinous & Forestic
The opening is deep and resinous, with the unmistakable presence of agarwood. Dark woods unfold with an earthy, forestic character, reminiscent of the dense, humid landscapes of Northeast India.

Heart — Fermented Fruits, Leather & Musky Warmth
As it develops on the skin, Imtizāj reveals a complex heart of fermented fruits and dark sweetness, intertwined with subtle leathery nuances and a soft, natural musky warmth. The musky facet adds an intimate, animalic depth to the composition, bringing a sensual softness beneath the darker woods.

The two origins appear to merge rather than present themselves as separate oils, creating a layered and naturally evolving profile.

Drydown — Aged Woods, Amber, Musk & Incense
With time, the oil settles into a rich and mature base of aged woods, warm amber, soft musk and incense. The profile becomes smoother and more integrated, leaving behind a lingering woody sweetness wrapped in a subtle musky warmth.

Distilled in 2024 and now aged for two years, Imtizāj has been given the time to mature and evolve — allowing its character to become more rounded, harmonious and refined.
