A little feedback from a recent session with secondary school teachers & SNAs 🩷

I was asked to deliver a session around self-care, stress and looking after ourselves, something that feels more important than ever for those working in education.

I absolutely loved being in the room with this group and having the opportunity to create some space for them to pause, reflect and think about their own wellbeing.

And then I received this message afterwards...
“Everything you said really resonated with me.
It’s just so important to look after ourselves.”

These are the moments that remind me why I love this work.

Creating space for people to pause, breathe, reflect and reconnect with themselves - whether that’s through coaching, wellbeing workshops or group sessions.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. 🥹🩷

Your brain is listening to what you repeatedly tell it.

And the good news?
You can give it something new to practise.

✨ Change your self-talk
Notice the way you speak to yourself and begin to choose words that support rather than sabotage you.

✨ Write your goals down
Get them out of your head and onto paper. Revisit them regularly.

✨ Choose your attitude
You can’t always choose what happens, but you can practise choosing how you respond.

✨ Reframe situations
Instead of “I can’t do this” → “This is challenging, but I can take the next step.”

✨ Make space for stillness
Meditation, breathing, or simply sitting quietly can help you notice your thoughts rather than automatically reacting to them.

✨ Take small, repeated action
You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. Small actions, repeated consistently, can create meaningful change.

Small thoughts.
Small choices.
Small actions.
Repeated often.

That’s where change begins. 🤍

What is one thing you’re going to practise differently this week?

A lovely day of celebration and reflection 🤍

It was such a privilege to celebrate the achievements of this wonderful group of students, alongside fellow tutors, as part of the Workability Programme with IRD Duhallow.

Over the time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this group, I’ve seen so much growth, self-belief, confidence and resilience. Watching them develop, overcome challenges and recognise their own strengths has been incredibly rewarding.

These are the moments that remind me why I love the work I do supporting people to recognise their potential, believe in themselves and take their next steps with confidence.

A huge thank you to Melissa Holland for the opportunity, and to Brigid Ide Walsh for the trust and support that allowed me to work with such a fantastic group.

And of course, it was a pleasure to work alongside fellow tutors Mike Guerin, Sharon Cregg and Ailbe Coffey.

Most importantly, a huge congratulations to all of the students. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves and everything you have achieved. 👏✨

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. 🤍

Women are incredible at looking after everyone else.

The family.
The work.
The business.
The people who need us.

But what happens when you’re the one running on empty?

Constant tiredness.
Feeling overwhelmed.
Irritability.
Poor sleep.
No patience.
Feeling like you’re constantly “on”.

Your body and mind will eventually ask you to slow down.

You cannot keep pouring from an empty cup.

Refilling your own cup isn’t selfish.
It’s not a luxury.
And it certainly isn’t something you have to earn.

It’s part of looking after yourself.

Sometimes self-care looks like a walk, a quiet coffee, an early night or switching your phone off.

And sometimes it looks like getting the support you need to stop, think, reset and make some changes.

You matter too. 🤍

So, be honest with yourself today…

How full is your cup?

How to intercept a limiting belief 👇

Have you ever noticed how one person can make you question everything?

Suddenly you’re thinking:

“I’m not good enough.”
“I’ve done something wrong.”
“How can I fix this?”
“What do they think of me?”

And before you know it, you’re spiralling, overthinking or people-pleasing.

But here’s the shift…

You don’t always need to change the person or situation.

You need to become aware of what they are triggering in you.

Ask yourself:

👉 What am I believing about myself right now?
👉 Where did that belief come from?
👉 Is it actually true?
👉 What would change if I stood firmly in my own worth?

The goal isn’t to become unaffected by people.

It’s to become so secure in who you are that someone else’s opinion doesn’t get to decide your value.

Notice the trigger.
Intercept the belief.
Choose a new response.

That’s where the real work begins. 🤍

Sometimes the hardest story to tell is your own.

Today I shared a little about who I am, why I became a life coach, and the journey that brought me here.

Coaching changed the trajectory of my life. It helped me find my voice, trust myself, and create the life I truly wanted. Now, it’s my privilege to help others do the same.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, doubted yourself, or wondered if there’s more waiting for you—know that change is possible.

Here’s to growth, courage, and taking the first step. 💚
