Kokushibo’s design is seriously disturbing. Six red eyes at once! But have you ever wondered why he has to have six?

There are two interesting theories.

First, Kokushibo’s six eyes may be connected to Yoriichi’s abilities. We know that Yoriichi Type Zero was created to imitate Yoriichi’s swordsmanship and requires six arms to reproduce his movements. Perhaps Kokushibo’s six eyes represent an adaptation designed to better perceive and counter the incredible speed and attack patterns of Yoriichi.

Second, when he was still human, Michikatsu couldn’t access the Transparent World like Yoriichi could. After becoming a demon, perhaps he gained an extraordinary level of visual perception through his six eyes.

So, it’s possible that Kokushibo’s six eyes are more than just a terrifying design—they may symbolize his obsession with reaching the abilities that Yoriichi possessed naturally.

He doesn't rely on brute strength alone—he survives by blending into society, hiding in plain sight, and striking only when the time is right. His mastery of disguise is one of the many reasons he remained the most feared demon for centuries.

Why Didn't Muzan Turn Everyone Into Demons?

In Season 1, when Muzan first encountered Tanjiro, he suddenly turned a random man into a demon. This made many fans wonder, "Why didn't he just slash Tanjiro and turn him into a demon too? Or better yet, why not transform the entire world into demons?"

The answer is simple: not every human can survive receiving Muzan's blood.

This is shown by the thug Muzan transformed during his encounter with Tanjiro. According to this theory, the man only received a small amount of Muzan's blood through his scratch, becoming a mindless demon that served only as a distraction, allowing Muzan to escape.

Another reason is that not every demon remains under Muzan's control. Tamayo and Nezuko are clear examples. Tamayo eventually broke free from Muzan's influence, while Nezuko resisted her instinct to prey on humans from the very beginning.

The same thing happened to Tanjiro at the end of the story. Although he briefly became a demon, with the help of Shinobu's medicine and his own willpower, he was able to resist Muzan's control from within.

In short, Muzan's ability to create demons has important limitations. Not everyone can survive his blood, and even those who do may eventually break free from his control.
