Redditch Canine Hydrotherapy

Meet Jasper, our lovely older black Labrador. 🐾🖤

Jasper absolutely loves his swims! He comes to us to help keep mobile and maintain his muscle mass, supporting him to stay active and enjoy life as he gets older.

He’s in very good condition for his age, and it’s a pleasure to see how much he enjoys his time in the pool. 💦

Our older dogs can benefit from exercise tailored to their needs, helping them maintain strength and mobility throughout their golden years.

Keep up the good work, Jasper! 🐾

💦SPACE AVAILBLE TODAY💦

We have had a cancellation today so if anyone would like to book in for hydrotherapy, fun swim or physiotherapy appointment drop us a message 💙

💙 Meet Barley! 💙

Barley joins us at Redditch Canine Hydrotherapy for fun and fitness swims, helping him maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. With excellent muscle mass and very good cardiovascular fitness, his sessions are all about keeping him in great condition while doing something he loves! 🐾💦

And Barley’s excitement starts well before he reaches the pool! As soon as he realises where he’s heading, he treats his mum to “the song of his people” in the car. Apparently, arriving quietly just isn’t Barley’s style! 😂🎶

Swimming can be a fantastic way to help maintain a dog’s strength, stamina and overall fitness, even when they have no clinical needs. For Barley, it’s also a much-loved part of his routine—and we love seeing his enthusiasm! 💙

💙 Meet Henry! 💙

Henry has elbow dysplasia and underwent surgery to remove bone fragments from his elbow. Following his operation, hydrotherapy swimming was recommended to help rebuild his muscle mass and maintain a good range of movement. 🐾💦

Henry continues to visit us at Redditch Canine Hydrotherapy to help maintain his strength, mobility and overall physical condition while living with elbow dysplasia. His ongoing swims are part of supporting him beyond his recovery from surgery. 💙

Did you know Henry’s sessions are covered by his pet insurance? 📝

Your dog may also have cover for hydrotherapy under their policy’s complementary or alternative therapy benefits. If your dog has a condition such as osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia or elbow dysplasia, it’s worth checking with your insurer—you may already have cover available!

Cover, limits and referral requirements vary between policies, so ask your insurer what’s included. 🐶

🐾 Meet Oscar! 💙

Oscar is a lovely cocker spaniel who’s enjoyed a very active life. Now living with osteoarthritis, he comes to us for weekly swims alongside his prescribed pain relief to help keep him comfortable and moving.

Chasing his ball is still his favourite thing! Although he’s no longer allowed to chase it on land, the pool gives Oscar the chance to enjoy the game he loves with the water supporting his joints. 🎾💦

Afterwards, he loves a warm shower—very un-spaniel-like!—and a dry with the blaster, followed by a well-earned treat. 🥰

We love seeing you each week, Oscar!

Meet the lovely Freddie! 🐾💛

Freddie has been coming to us for five months, and it’s been wonderful to see her fitness and stamina improve. Her swims help support her forelimb osteoarthritis, and her vets have also noticed an improvement in the range of movement in her front legs.

Freddie has quite a few allergies, so she needs a special diet and allergy injections. She also has Librela to help manage her osteoarthritis. Through it all, she arrives with the happiest face and a wagging tail, ready to work and absolutely loving her swims! 💦

We’re so proud of you, Freddie. You’re a joy to see every time! 🐶

We couldn’t agree more 💙

Senior years shouldn’t mean slowing down. 🐾💚

From stiff mornings to shorter walks and more snoozes, our Joint Care for Senior Dogs is made to support healthy joints, mobility and movement — so they can keep doing the things they love for longer. 🦴✨

Because getting older doesn’t mean they have to stop being them. #🐶

PUPPY ALERT 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

This is the cute Bernese puppy Odin 😍

Odin was very brave today in for his first Puppy swim! 🏊🏻‍♂️🐶

He's going to be a very big strong boy when he eventually grows into those paws!!

Well done Odin, can't wait to see your handsome little face again soon!

Is there a better place to work during this heatwave ☀️🏊🏻‍♂️ I don't think so 😁

Our wonderful Tracey is taking on the 3 peaks challenge this weekend in the blistering heat to help raise money for our rescue animals.

Good luck Tracey! We know you will absolutely smash it! 🏔️🏔️🏔️

🏔️ Tracey's Three Peak Challenge 🏔️

On Saturday 11th July – Sunday 12th July, I will be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge.

The challenge consists of ascending and descending the three highest mountains in the UK:

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Ben Nevis – Scotland
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Scafell Pike – England
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) – Wales

AND

Driving between all three peaks in 24 hours or less.

This challenge is usually completed as part of an organised group, with a team or alongside friends.

BUT...

I'm going to attempt it on my own, with my husband acting as my chauffeur, support crew and chief encourager!

At 61 years old, I'm taking on this mad challenge to raise much-needed funds for the incredible rescue dogs and cats that Jess works so tirelessly to save.

I'll be covering all of the costs of my challenge myself, so every single donation will go directly to helping the rescue animals.

If you're able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, it would mean the world to us, and even more to the animals whose lives your kindness will help change.

Please donate here:

Thank you so much for your support—wish me luck! ❤️🐾
