I’ve been a little quieter on social media recently.

Not because anything is wrong – life has simply been busy.

This is one of the busiest times of year at the salon and, if I’m honest, something had to give for a little while.

Over the last few weeks I enjoyed a wonderful weekend away in Yorkshire, spent some time switching off and yesterday had my first facial (by someone else!) in around six months.

I’ve used Environ for over 11 years and genuinely believe my skin has never been healthier. Consistent skincare has transformed my skin over time.

But yesterday reminded me that healthy skin and self-care aren’t quite the same thing.

Sometimes it’s not about fixing anything.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down, taking an hour for yourself and allowing somebody else to look after you for a change.

As therapists we’re always encouraging our clients to prioritise themselves, but we’re not always very good at taking our own advice.

Yesterday was a lovely reminder that self-care matters too 🤍
