When we moved back from Cyprus with three small children, settled into a little village where we knew absolutely nobody, and I casually announced I wanted to open another salon… I’m pretty sure you thought I’d gone completely bat s**t crazy! 🤣

And let’s be fair… you probably weren’t wrong! 😂

But you never once stopped me from chasing my dreams.

You’ve stood beside me through every mad decision, every stressful day, every tear, every late night and every moment I’ve questioned whether I was doing the right thing.

You believed in me on the days I didn’t even believe in myself.

And last night, standing at the Small Business Awards, I couldn’t help but think how far we’ve come. Not just me, but us. 🥹

Because although it’s my name behind the salon, there’s so much of you behind everything I’ve achieved.

Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader, my safe place, my voice of reason (sometimes 🤣) and the person who always claps the loudest, even when there’s nothing to celebrate yet.

None of this would have been possible without you standing beside me.

We might not have brought home an award last night, but looking at everything we’ve built together, I already feel like I’ve won. 🖤

Here’s to more crazy ideas, more dreams and probably a few more moments of you wondering what on earth I’ve got planned next! 🤣

✨ WE DIDN’T WIN THIS TIME… BUT WHAT A NIGHT! 🥂🏆✨

What an absolutely incredible evening at the Peterborough Small Business Awards! 🤍

Although we didn’t walk away with an award this time, we walked away with something just as special — beautiful memories, new connections and a heart full of gratitude. ✨

We met some truly amazing, inspirational people who have built incredible businesses, and it was such an honour to be surrounded by so much passion, ambition and success.

We only entered one category, Hair & Beauty, and didn’t actually realise how many other categories we could have entered! Safe to say, we’ve learnt a thing or two for next time! 😉🥂

Watching so many deserving businesses receive their awards was genuinely lovely. Every single winner should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. 👏🏼

But what has touched me the most is the overwhelming love and support we have received. The beautiful messages from friends, family and our wonderful clients have honestly meant more than you could ever imagine. 🥹🤍

MERAKI Wittering is only just over two years into its journey, and when I look back at where we started and how far we have come, I feel nothing but pride.

Building a small business takes hard work, determination, sacrifices and a whole lot of heart. There have been challenges along the way, but I wouldn’t change this journey for the world.

To everyone who voted, shared, supported, booked an appointment or simply believed in me — THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. 🤍

Being recognised as a finalist alongside such incredible businesses was already a huge achievement, and one I will never take for granted.

We may not have brought home a trophy, but we certainly came home feeling like winners. 🏆✨

I honestly can’t quite believe that this Saturday I’ll be attending The Peterborough Small Business Awards as a FINALIST! 🥹🥂

For me, just getting to this point is already such a huge milestone. Building Meraki has taken so much hard work, determination, long days, late nights, juggling family life and plenty of moments where I’ve questioned myself along the way.

So to have my little business recognised and to be standing alongside so many amazing businesses means more to me than I can put into words. 🤍

I’m going into Saturday feeling incredibly grateful and proud. Of course, bringing an award home would be absolutely amazing… but genuinely, even if I don’t win, being chosen as a finalist already feels like an achievement worth celebrating. 🏆✨

I’m so excited to get dressed up, enjoy the evening and take in the whole experience — because sometimes we’re so busy chasing the next goal that we forget to stop and appreciate just how far we’ve come.
