Doreen came in for a same-day consult on Monday. She has been experiencing intermittent (medically diagnosed) PD for 5 yrs, which she had been managing with a topical steroid.
A month ago the steroid stopped being effective, her skin went into a flare, the PD spread to her eyes and forehead and so began a rollercoaster of GP appointments, online derms, a visit to ED out of desperation…and a whole lot of topical things that were making her skin angrier and angrier.

What we did:
◽️Listened, educated and discussed her case for an hour.
◽️Agreed on “zero therapy” approach with Dermaviduals Boswellia as her only serum.
◽️Reached out same-day to ᴅʀ ᴄʜᴀʀʟᴇs ᴍᴄᴋɪʙʙɪɴ - ᴅᴇʀᴍ ɢᴘ for his medical opinion on continuing Minocycline and Elidel.
I’ll send Doreen a text in 10 days to see how she’s going, so glad that’s she more comfortable already. 👏🏼

Overwhelmed by choice? 🤔
This popped up on my Headspace App after my meditation this morning. It made me smile because as I “grow up” 😉 I have consciously minimized and simplified things around me to install calm and feel grounded. In this fast-paced world full of choice there’s an insidious silent shame in choosing to have less, do less, even “be less”.
I see this overwhelm in clinic daily, as the 16yrs of Mi Skn Clinic have rolled by, there is more and more information, choice, options at our fingertips. Where in 2010 clients came in “clueless” for a professional opinion, now clients come in researched, educated, full of choice and thoroughly confused.
The 2010 client with less choice had a clear path, felt certain and trusted. The 2026 client is bombarded with choice and is completely overwhelmed.
Simplify your choices. Let experts guide you, trust that more is not always best ☺️
