Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????

Hi Im Ash ! im a fully qualified barber with nvq level 4 ( assessor ) qualification. I have been cutting hair since i was 15,16 years old . Im 34 now .
Ox" Barber 2 U , is a different chain of my other barbering community (Rg" Barber 2 U ) I started off in my hometown Reading and moved here to Oxford last year for a goal of changing my life and old habits
now I only surround myself with positive people and success.
It has taken me a long time to realise this and have burnt alot of bridges by living a negative ,crime filled life which only lead to me serving nearly 16years in UK prisons in a few sentences...
I knew I had to change ! but... it was so scary even thinking about it , let alone doing it . But... I have 2 kids ! so I have no option but to do it .
I haven't been the best dad 😔
never out of jail long enough to do anything....
Many times I sat staring at the prison cell floor ,thinking .... what the f*** is wrong with me ? I have 2 beautiful children and my kids mother is probably the BEST MOTHER I KNOW. She helped me for years then had enough of me . ( I had enough of me ) The 1st time I held my daughter Emily was when she was a newborn and that was in Hmp Oakwood visits hall 😔 she only knows who I am because of photos 🥺 seeing my son get upset because he wanted to see me changed everything....
That day I stopped everything...
I now help others that want to do the same thing... CHANGE !
I now am mentoring 4 people who struggle with addiction and help others by passing them my number ( only if they want to change ! You cant make anyone do anything ! It has to come from them ! I speak to about 3-12 people a week who phone me when they feel low and want to use ( I don't tell ANYONE what to do ,nor do i tell them not to do it ... I JUST SPEAK FROM THE HEART AND TALK SENSE TO THEM)
I had a call on Thursday at 3:36am last week saying someone overdosed and they needed help . Ambulance was taking too long ... so I put a coat on and threw jeans on no socks nothing under coat either.
I knew time was running out for Paul ...
I jogged for 1.1 miles with a special kit that reverses opiates ( naloxone ) I got there checked pulse ( was faint ) checked inside his mouth and used my torch to see the colour of his lips and tounge they were going blue . I tilted his head back holding the base of his head and administered the first dose put my coat under his head and started cpr whilst on the phone to 999 , they were keeping my compression rate with ( 1,2,3,4. rythym..) it took me just under 8mins to bring him back round...
He survived 🙌🏻
I'm now taking him and 7 other people from there home to turning point every week to get treatment so they can live life to the fullest...
So if you know anyone who wants to change there life , tell them I will help with that ( but they HAVE TO WANT IT, AND MEAN IT )
SINCE FEB LAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN CLEAN ! I take a urine test along side them so they know there not alone during the process ( and they know I'm 100% honest and truthful when they see negative show up all the way across the test)
I've lied for so long , and people see straight through it aswell ( I honestly thought I was fooling people ) I WASNT FOOLING ANYONE !
there comes a time in life , when you just have had enough of living in an endless loop of regret , prison , emotions and crime .... I just didn't have the balls to let go ....
NOW I HAVE ....
AND IM SHOWING MANY PEOPLE , THAT THEY CAN ACHIVE THE SAME GOALS AS ME ! IVE LOST MANY PEOPLE AROUND ME THROUGH OVERDOSES AND LIFE STRUGGLES . MY BEST FRIEND MARC.M LOST HIM AT 19 ,MY UNCLE DAVID , CARL GILKES , SHAUN .G, JEFF. D, MARK.W , JACK.R , TOM.P , ARRON.S , KEVIN.V ,LIAM.F AND RYAN.D ....

DRUGS DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY OR YOUR FRIENDS LIKE YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS CARE ABOUT YOU...
ITS HARD TO ASK FOR HELP ...
ITS NOT AN EASY PATH..
BUT ITS WORTH IT !
WISH I DID IT EARLIER !
I DONT SPEAK TO MY KIDS MUM BECAUSE OF MY ACTIONS , I DONT BLAME HER SHE TRIED FOR TOO LONG BLESS HER 🙏🏻

Haircut with no mirror just a phone screen as guide. Fort I'd challenge myself . Alot done by touching and feeling if it needs another going over . Done it though 😎
