Me again therapy helps overwhelmed and anxious women to feel in control so that they can live life with ease.

This may present as driving anxiety, panic attacks, a crippling fear of driving on motorways or an inability to get in the car and just go.

“But what if I panic while I'm driving?”

This is one of the biggest fears I hear from women with driving anxiety.

And underneath it is often another fear:

“What if I can't cope?”

Because the fear isn't always the road.

It isn't always the traffic.

It isn't always the motorway.

Sometimes it's the fear of what your own body might do.

A racing heart.

A tight chest.

Butterflies.

Feeling hot.

Feeling unreal.

A sudden rush of adrenaline.

And then the mind jumps in:

“Something's wrong.”

“I need to get out.”

“I can't do this.”

That's where the cycle can begin.

My approach isn't about teaching you to never feel a sensation again.

It's about helping your nervous system learn:

“I can notice this feeling without immediately treating it as an emergency.”

Because confidence isn't necessarily:

“I know I won't feel anxious.”

Real confidence can become:

“Even if I feel something, I know what to do.”

And that changes everything.

Imagine driving without constantly monitoring yourself.

Without checking your heart.

Without scanning the road for somewhere you could pull over.

Without mentally rehearsing everything that could go wrong.

Just you...

driving...

and getting on with your life.

That's the freedom we're working towards.

If you're tired of anxiety deciding where you can go, who you can see and what you can do...

💬 Send me a message. Let's start changing that.

If you experience driving anxiety, ask yourself:

“What am I actually afraid will happen?”

Is it the road?

Or is it:

🚖 “What if I panic?”

🚖 “What if my heart starts racing?”

🚖 “What if I feel trapped?”

🚖 “What if I can’t get home?”

🚖 “What if I lose control?”

For many women, the deeper fear isn't the driving itself.

It is the fear of experiencing panic in a situation where escape feels difficult.

And that changes the way we need to think about the problem.

Because you can spend years trying to become more confident on the road…

when the thing that really needs to change is your relationship with the sensations of panic.

Your heart racing doesn't mean you're unsafe.

Adrenaline doesn't mean you're losing control.

Feeling anxious doesn't mean you need to escape.

And feeling panic doesn't mean something terrible is about to happen.

Your nervous system may simply have learned to interpret those sensations as a threat.

And learned responses can change.

If you're ready to understand why your driving anxiety keeps happening even though you know you're safe, read my latest blog:

Why Fear of Panic Is the Real Problem — Not Driving

You might not be afraid of driving

What if driving isn’t actually the thing you’re afraid of?

What if the real fear is what might happen inside you while you’re driving?

The racing heart.

The dizziness.

The feeling that you can’t breathe properly.

The sudden rush of adrenaline.

The thought:

“What if I panic and I can’t get out?”

This is something I see so often with women experiencing driving anxiety.

Over time, the fear can shift.

It starts as:

“I’m nervous about driving.”

Then becomes:

“I’m scared I’ll panic while driving.”

And eventually:

“I’m scared of the possibility of panicking.”

That distinction matters.

Because when the fear is actually centred around panic, avoiding driving may give you temporary relief…

…but it also teaches your nervous system:

“Good job. We escaped. That really was dangerous.”

And the cycle continues.

You don’t necessarily need to become fearless.

You need to change what your mind and body believe about the feeling you’re afraid of.

“I thought I'd gone backwards.”

Have you ever had a setback after making progress?

One difficult day.

One panic.

One stressful event.

One journey where suddenly the old feelings appeared again.

And your brain immediately says:

“Here we go. I'm back to square one.”

You're not.

A setback doesn't erase the progress you've made.

Sometimes life happens.

Stress happens.

Grief happens.

Your nervous system can become more sensitive when you're already carrying a lot.

That doesn't mean you've lost the skills you've learned.

It means your system may need a little more support and regulation.

This is something I see often with anxiety.

We become so focused on “getting rid of the anxiety” that we forget the real goal:

Learning that you can experience sensations, thoughts and emotions without automatically interpreting them as danger.

You can notice the wobble.

Take a breath.

Regulate.

And find your way back.

Progress isn't never being dysregulated.

Progress is knowing you can return.

So if you've had a difficult week and you're telling yourself you've ruined all your progress...

Pause.

You haven't.

💛 Your nervous system is allowed to have difficult days too.

“I was actually scared to try hypnosis…”

And you're not alone.

A lot of people come to me feeling nervous about hypnosis.

They wonder:

Will I be in control?

Will I say something embarrassing?

Will I be able to come out of it?

What if it doesn't work for me?

One of my clients recently told me she had those fears too.

And then something changed.

She discovered that hypnosis wasn't about giving up control.

It was about learning how to work with her own mind and nervous system differently.

And the thing she originally came to me for?

Her driving anxiety.

Her words afterwards were:

“I have actually been enjoying driving again and never thought I would see that day again!”

That's the transformation I'm interested in.

Not making you dependent on therapy.

Not telling you to “just think positively.”

Not forcing you to push through overwhelming fear.

But helping you understand what's happening in your mind and body so you can begin to respond differently.

And you remain you throughout the process.

If you've been curious about hypnosis but a little nervous about trying it...

You're exactly the kind of person I want to reassure.

You don't have to be fearless to start.

You just need to be willing to explore what's possible.

💬 Curious? Send me a DM and ask me anything about hypnosis

If you’ve ever found yourself gripping the steering wheel, heart pounding, convinced you need to pull over immediately, you’ll know this:

Anxiety and panic are not the same thing

People often use the words interchangeably, but understanding the difference can be life-changing — especially if you struggle with driving anxiety, fear of motorways, roundabouts, bridges, traffic, fast roads, or the terrifying thought.

This week's blog explores:

⭐️ The difference between anxiety and panic

⭐️ The panic cycle and why is escalates so quickly

⭐️ Why the solution is not more insight

⭐️ Why hypnotherapy helps when insight hasn't

⭐️ How to respond to panic without making it worse

“I never thought I would see that day again…”

The day she actually enjoyed driving

Not just tolerated it

Not just survived the journey

Not just arrived at her destination and thought, “Thank goodness that’s over.”

She actually enjoyed it

That’s what one of my clients recently wrote in her review after working with me on her driving anxiety

And honestly? This is why I do what I do

Because driving anxiety isn't simply about getting from A to B.

It can mean:
→ avoiding places you want to go
→ relying on other people
→ planning your life around how you’ll get there
→ feeling embarrassed that something “so simple” feels so difficult
→ constantly wondering, “What if I panic?”

And sometimes the hardest part is believing that things could genuinely feel different

But your brain and nervous system can learn something new

You don't have to become fearless

You don't have to force yourself through terrifying journeys

You can learn to feel safer, more regulated and more trusting of yourself again

Imagine getting into your car and not having to think about driving at all

What would that give back to you?

💬 If driving anxiety is keeping your world smaller than you'd like, send me a message. Let's talk about it

I dream of a world where all Women can get behind the wheel of a car and feels safe & confident to drive 🚘️ 🚘️ 🚘️ 🚘️ 🚘️

The opportunity you have right now is to focus on the confident driver you know you once were (and still are) vs the self doubting voice which is keeping you too safe, avoidance and scared 🚦

The big myth I want to point out is that more overthinking, more route planing and more driving practise is not the answer (if it was you’d be driving on the motorway already....

This is the difference between wanting to be a confident driver and feeling safe driving. Since 2020 I've helped other women overcome driving anxiety and based on 1 fundamental belief that driving anxiety takes place in your mind and you body and that where the solution is 💡

Driving lessons are a practical and rational solution but you aren’t dealing with logic you are living in fear & panic and that happens in your mind and you body. If you passed your driving test you don’t need more lessons. You need to start trusting yourself that even when it feels uncomfortable you’ll be alright!

Because when you stop focusing on the worst that can happen and instead focus on what you can control everything changes

When I did this everything changed!!!

Here's exactly what that looked like:
⭐️ A clear focus on driving freedom whether thats a physical destination or a road(s) to conquer

⭐️ Step by step guidance helping you to make the small manageable changes each day to feel safe driving

⭐️ Recognising thoughts which help you to thrive and those that are based in a perceived threat

⭐️ Letting go of old fears that keep you stuck, who needs shame when you can feel confident driving... Am I right ladies?

⭐️ Feeling in control of what your body is telling you, discomfort can mean progress when you know that you can feel it and still be okay driving

The non-negotiable actions to feel safe driving are working with someone who not only understands the struggle but had overcome driving anxiety themselves and now has driving freedom in abundance 😎 🚗
