But September is a great month to start your grey blending transformation. The reason being is that the sun is not as strong as the summer months so your hair is not going to suffer from as much fade or dryness as it might do.

Also by CHRISTMAS, you will be well on your way to freedom, you will be starting to get used to your new look and your hair will be looking good!

My lovely client here is nearing the end of her transformation but she will still maintain her natural hair with a toner and home care.

Although no roots to battle with, natural grey needs livening up every now and again and kept in good condition and shiny to look it’s best.

Hot tools, metals in our water and the sun can all have a negative effect on natural grey hair so using the right products is key!

Products that you need are all included in your transformation and I am always sourcing and testing the latest products so you are always using the best of the best for your hair!

All the grow outs have been so soft! No lines in sight!. That’s the difference in using an expert!

As my lovely lady has started to get used to her natural roots we have got lighter and lighter.

We lifted the back up exactly in the same way, but this time we decided on an ashier toner to see what my client thought and to see the difference. This also helped with toning the back as it didn’t lift as light as the top had done so it was a good time to do it!. I still used a golden ash as it would have been too much of a shock for my client!

It will be interesting to see what the final result will be! 💛 or 🩶? To be decided!

From the last picture, we are starting to get a good feel about where we want to be,,,so I decided to start lifting the back so we can start getting the colour aligned and in sync.

Keeping the underneath dark for a few appointments has allowed my lovely client to get used to the lightness at the top and also allowed more natural growth at the back.

I always get the top starting to look like where we want to be before I start on the back. This also allows changes in direction because that definitely happens!. That’s why it’s so nice to be on a journey, because I have time, all the patience in the world and I can allow for change, something you cannot allow for in a busy salon, when you have your next client waiting. My grey blending transformation clients get my undivided attention & time!. Plus there is just too many foils/wraps to go in to do everything together, hair condition above all else!.

By the 2nd colour my lovely client was getting used to her natural white coming through and the lightness!

So we enhanced the colour and put a money piece of light blonde through the front and through the top. We finished with a warm and lighter toner.
