In my job, I met a lot of lovely ladies that had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Suddenly it became more important to know what products I was using in my day to day life and what impact they have on a new family. I wanted to know what I was putting on my own body, and my babies body, through detergents and toiletries. Searching for products became a battle as I really became frustrated with mainstream shops that only sold major brands with ingredient lists that look like they should be in a chemistry class. Or by shops that sold 100% natural brands, that had ingredients lists with the odd chemical name which I still had to go away and look up. I learned it might be a natural product, but I don't want to put it on my or my families skin. Just because it is natural, does not mean its good for you. I worked out that the best products that matched all my values of clean ingredients, ethical trading and sensible packaging were the small artisan brands that we have this country.
